And honestly, it turned out to be the perfect spot. Total lifesaver! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was exactly what we needed. The space had this cool camp-style aesthetic—really unique and cozy, like a modern outdoor lodge but indoors. It felt like a little escape from the noise and busyness of the day. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxed, making it a great place to hang out, catch up, or even just unwind on your own. The bubble tea? Top-notch. You can tell they use quality ingredients because the flavors were clean and balanced—not overly sweet, and the pearls had that perfect chewy texture. “Hello went to your manwai bay restaurant. The chicken and pork sticks were cold and dry. I after trying one I pointed out they were cold and dry. They then pretended not to speak English. And weren’t even interested in dealing with me. The lemon grass salad was lovely.”

“The food when it's available is good. This is our go to place if we don't want to cook. The service was marked down just because the dishes I want are never available or the cook doesn't want to make it, why have it on the menu? We just stick to smorgasbord as a result. The atmosphere is marked down because of other people in the town. It's outrageous that they need plastic barriers at the register because people attack the team. Last time I physically went in the plastic screen had been smashed by someone. Wairoa, why are you like this?”

“I wasn't sure if I should try this place due to some low scores but ordered 3 pizza and I'm impressed. 1. $36 for three pizza is great value. 2. The large pizza is a decent size. 3. Cooked well and generous toppings. The bad review comparing to Domino's must have been employees because I think Black Box deserves 5 stars.”

“First time ordering from here as it was the only pizza shop open late on the uber eats app. After looking at the reviews I was hesitant to order but thought I’d give them the benefit of the doubt and go ahead. I’m pretty satisfied ! Pizza was nice and hot on arrival, delivery guy was very kind and quick, arrived on time, the 3 large pizza deal was also great savings on money ! The only reason I removed one star is because the vege pizza is actually super spicy ! It isn’t specified that it is a spicy pizza as well, only that it has sweet chilli sauce but this was definitely SPICE ! otherwise all good ! Toppings were plentiful, crust and base were perfect. Will order again next time.”
