“We had a 50th birthday bash at Lilyworld cafe. Ordered platters and reserved some tables and watched the rugby. The service was on point and Ben was always on hand with any help and serving the food. All our guests enjoyed it so much and promised to return. The food was great! Some ordered meals and were very happy with the portions and prices. Its a great vibe there and also fun for the kids. Will definitely recommend and return. Thanks Leon, Ben and the team!”

“Wow !! What a wonderful surprise today when we randomly selected Vino Vino for lunch on our day trip to Waiheke. Our random choice was due to the incredible views. From the start to the end the service, meal and attention was first class. We have been fortunate enough to eat at some incredible restaurants throughout the World and would have to rate this establishment right up there. “An experience that’s more than just food. After years, I have finally tried their food! I went on a lunch time and there was only two other people. Good timing because I was already really hungry. He’s a one man show so make sure to allow time when visiting him. He makes sure every dish is fresh so it will really take time, but he dishes them out one by one, so you get small bites in between before the main meal. He is such a lovely man and he took his time to talk to us and welcomed us. His dishes are definitely authentic! Full of flavours despite of it being light- it won’t make you get sick of it. The broth of the ramen was divine! The takoyaki was crispy on the outside and super soft on the inside. It was flavourful on its own, no need a lot of sauce! The yakitori was super yummy. He gave us the takoyaki for free which we highly appreciated. The interior and decorations is obviously antique and don’t expect it to be as of modern restaurant style, it’s feels more intimate like you’re at your grandparents house and they’ll cook you a hearty meal. That’s the vibe the place gave. It is such a gem of Pukekohe. If you plan to go here for dinner, make sure you have a reservation. It gets full quite quickly which made it impossible for us before hence why we tried on a weekday at lunch time. You won’t regret coming here! This is what Japanese cuisine is!”

“This is my go to Filipino store in South Auckland, and when we were in West Auckland. They have several branches all over Auckland. They sell everything Filipino and they have a good range of choices. Pricing is also reasonable. They sometimes go on special which makes the products really cheap! They also have rewards system which you can use as actual dollars to buy stuff from the store. So if you are missing Filipino dishes and want to cook one, this is the place to go for ingredients. If you are missing skin care or body care products you loved using in the Philippines, you may find one here.”

“We had a Christmas get-together at Olea Café on 6th December, and we really enjoyed the experience. The service was excellent, with warm and welcoming hospitality throughout the event. A special mention to Sarah — she was extremely friendly and helpful. Despite being pregnant, she was very active, attentive, and professional, which truly impressed us. “Great lunch spot right by Kmart. The interior is very nice and felt comfortable even if they are busy. The cabinet selection was great and very enticing, and it was absolutely worth it as we tried their caramel slice which had a great balance of sweetness and texture. The classic eggs Benedict was great too and was equally impressed with the portion size for the corn fritters. Update: tried the cabinet food and was not surprised that it was good too. Fairly complex flavour for cabinet food and I especially enjoyed the chilli scramble bap. Will definitely be keen to come back and try more of the menu.”
