“My family has been a part of the TLC family for around 3 years now over two children. Our time with my youngest there is coming to an end and it's with such a heavy heart that we move on. The incredibly experienced teachers at TLC have taught me so much about parenting and provided different perspectives on how I'd viewed certain things previously. Their philosophy has paid off in dividends for my children and it was a beautiful thing to watch them thrive, grow their confidence and self awareness in their time with TLC. We feel so fortunate and grateful for every day spent in this magical centre. We will miss you all so much! Thank you for everything!!”

“My son attended this daycare from about 21 months to 42 months. Due to our family moving, we are no longer able to send him here, but I have always recommended this place to my neighbors and friends, hoping that others will know about it as well. My child really loved the teachers and friends here. As a parent, I also appreciated how the teachers always provided updates on what happened with my child each day. Melissa, who handles reception, was always kind and gave us helpful information. Additionally, the food for the children is excellent. All the teachers there care for the kids with love. “I enrolled my daughter here when we moved in the area. This was the 3rd daycare she was enrolled in mainly due to my work and convenience. Took a while to find a daycare I can completely trust my daughter with due to her diary allergies and the fact that she doesn't settle well. We visited a few day cares around the area and none i felt was right for her, then a friend recommended we check out Galaxy, from the moment we set foot in the school to the process of enrolment, everything was so smooth and easy. The centre manager at the time was lovely and just sat and listen as I explained my concerns and what I want for my daughter. The place was clean and I loved how open and spacious it was. The teachers were friendly and I love how diverse and multi cultural galaxy is. My daughter settled right in and the communication was clear and they knew when to call me if my daughter would accidentally comes in contact with diary products. We will surely miss this centre and the lovely teachers and children. Thank you Galaxy Childcare - Mahia for the 3 wonderful years my daughter was there. She really enjoyed it and I felt comfortable to leave her in your care all these years :)”

“We honestly couldn’t be happier with the care that we get here for our son. He has been there now for over a year and across two of the rooms at the centre (Koru and Tawa). He was at another centre previously and would have an absolute melt down every time he was dropped off. We just thought it was normal, until we started at The Park! I now hardly even get a good bye when dropping him off! All the Kaiako at the centre have been great to deal with. They know his quirks, and greet us by name every time we come in. Special dietary needs (as he was dairy intolerant) are all catered for, and they work to make sure there is good variety and monitor their actual eating, even for this fussy fella! There are activities nearly every day that help develop his motor skills, but also life skills! At just over 2 years-old now, his new favourite activity is to ‘I Cook’ and set up at the kitchen counter every dinner time to help get the family meals sorted. They also have access to a local play ground and large greens behind the facility (hence The Park) that they regularly go on excursions with the kids out in their Centre Sun Hats, and always provide notifications via the facilities app when they are heading out, a much appreciated update. We get some of the most amazing stories about his daily adventures through the app, and my family overseas are all signed up so they can stay up to date with how he is developing. So in summary, their waiting list to get in speaks volumes to the service they provide. Thank you to all of staff that that help care for him every day!”

“Waka Huia is the most wonderful place, very child-centred and in a calm/ relaxed/ family environment. Different aged kids all play together, the big kids look out for the little ones, lots of tuakana-teina opportunities. The kaiako are awesome educators, highly experienced and genuinely loving and kind. My daughter has grown a lot under their gentle guidance. She loves the animals (chickens and visiting lambs), outside play year round, cups of tea, dress-ups and treasures (shells, wool) to play with.”

“This has got to be one of the best op shops I've visited. The people who work here have taken great care of the store, and do a wonderful job displaying everything so nicely. It's an easy to navigate shop, and the prices aren't too high as some op shops are starting to get.”
