“My family has been a part of the TLC family for around 3 years now over two children. Our time with my youngest there is coming to an end and it's with such a heavy heart that we move on. The incredibly experienced teachers at TLC have taught me so much about parenting and provided different perspectives on how I'd viewed certain things previously. As a first time mom who is overprotective for my girl , I was very unsure about putting my daughter in a daycare but as a working parents we don’t have other options. Learning steps has changed my perception about the daycare and this is the best decision for my daughter's development that I have enrolled her at learning steps. “My 4.5 year old has attended the Our kids on Glendale road since he was 7 months old and it is like a second home to him. The staff are friendly and caring, I love that the turnover of staff is very low so many of them have been there since he started. I also love the mixed age environment, as it gives it a real family feel. My little one loves it here so much and we couldn’t be happier with the centre.”

“We had our daughter start at Lollipops when she was around one. We love this place and would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a loving daycare for their children. The teachers have been there for a long time and are all beautiful women who cares so much for the children. They do weekly music classes, has a super fun outdoor play space which they use daily and my daughter has learned so much from mat time. They also make beautiful, healthy home cooked meals which is amazing. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.”

“Waka Huia is the most wonderful place, very child-centred and in a calm/ relaxed/ family environment. Different aged kids all play together, the big kids look out for the little ones, lots of tuakana-teina opportunities. The kaiako are awesome educators, highly experienced and genuinely loving and kind. My daughter has grown a lot under their gentle guidance. She loves the animals (chickens and visiting lambs), outside play year round, cups of tea, dress-ups and treasures (shells, wool) to play with.”

“The staff played a crucial role in my son's transition from his previous Best Start program. Their friendly and welcoming demeanor made the process easy and helped him make new friends. The activities and programs for the kids are well-prepared and provide a lot of useful information for parents. The photos of the activities show that my son has a great time at preschool, and I feel confident and safe leaving him there.”

“We honestly couldn’t be happier with the care that we get here for our son. He has been there now for over a year and across two of the rooms at the centre (Koru and Tawa). He was at another centre previously and would have an absolute melt down every time he was dropped off. We just thought it was normal, until we started at The Park! I now hardly even get a good bye when dropping him off! All the Kaiako at the centre have been great to deal with. They know his quirks, and greet us by name every time we come in. Special dietary needs (as he was dairy intolerant) are all catered for, and they work to make sure there is good variety and monitor their actual eating, even for this fussy fella! There are activities nearly every day that help develop his motor skills, but also life skills! At just over 2 years-old now, his new favourite activity is to ‘I Cook’ and set up at the kitchen counter every dinner time to help get the family meals sorted. They also have access to a local play ground and large greens behind the facility (hence The Park) that they regularly go on excursions with the kids out in their Centre Sun Hats, and always provide notifications via the facilities app when they are heading out, a much appreciated update. We get some of the most amazing stories about his daily adventures through the app, and my family overseas are all signed up so they can stay up to date with how he is developing. So in summary, their waiting list to get in speaks volumes to the service they provide. Thank you to all of staff that that help care for him every day!”
