“Riverhead Montissori is and has been an amazing daycare for my three children. Reminiscent of a kindy, with a well loved environment and wholesome teaches, while still maintaining the child/teacher ratio and morning routine of a traditional Montissori daycare. The centre is well run and flexible, Rachel in admissions is seemingly always available and accomodating. Due to its community values and small country setting I feel that my children have very personalised care. For our family in particular we appreciate that there is always a very calm and happy atmosphere at drop off, I feel that this encourages my children to start a piece of work and allow me to leave without them getting overwhelmed or sad. My children also enjoy the mix of ages within the classrooms, being able to learn from those older than them and care/teach those who are younger. We cannot recommend Riverhead Montissori enough.”

“I’ve sent both my girls to Busby over the last 2 years and it’s been the best decision for our family. Not only do our girls absolutely love the staff, us as parents, have also formed an amazing bond with the teachers. We really couldn’t ask for a better daycare. Alexia and Allie have been so easy to deal with and they create such engaging activities for the kids. Both my girls have learnt so much and absolutely love going. It’s very comforting to know the girls are always in good hands. I can’t thank all the staff enough.”

“My boy was at ActiveExplorers from 6 months old to 2 years. We moved out west so had to transfer but it is a lovely daycare with wonderful staff, warm and welcoming teachers. We liked their kaupapa and instilling tikanga in our tāmariki, with regular catch up events for parents and teachers that includes nibbles. They are connected to the community and have plenty for the kids to do, including guests who come in including emergency services or song and dance. All the children there are lovely and you can see they are all happy. It’s a lovely place and though it’s on the pricier side of daycares, you will feel safe and comfortable with your child there. Edit: I forgot to add that we were very impressed with the hygiene and cleanliness. You can see they put so much effort into ensuring ailments don’t spread as much as can be controlled. They have a high level of care that goes into ensuring the children’s health and wellbeing.”

“I was a bit worried about moving my sensitive 1-year-old to a new daycare after she didn't settle at the last one. But Lollipops Birkenhead has been amazing for both of us! The staff are super understanding and gentle, which has really helped her feel safe and happy there. The teachers are so patient and take the time to calm her down when she's feeling overwhelmed. Plus, she gets to do all sorts of fun and educational activities, even at her young age. I love the regular photo updates, too! I'm really grateful for the caring environment at Lollipops Birkenhead. It's been a great choice for my little one, and I appreciate how much the staff care about making sure every child feels loved and supported. I'd definitely recommend it!”

“Absolutely love Acorn and has been amazing for my 2 children... Catherine who runs it genuinely cares for all the children and wants to make it a great environment for pre school development with the right mix of fun and learning. They have a 4 year old programme run for 4 year olds (as you'd expect) and is designed to get them ready for school with some of the elements of school... this is a perfect intro for my daughter who got an award at her first school assembly for settling in so quickly. The Christmas concert they put on is also a yearly highlight... and even though I'm off work this week and my son could stay at home, he has wanted to go to Acorn to play with his friends each day... I highly recommend Acorn to anyone considering a ELC in Auckland!”

“Pure Magic! This is honestly the best daycare centre ever. I feel like a lot of parents don't know about it. It is absolutely incredible. All the the teachers have so much magic with all the children. We are so grateful to be part of Starfish family. All the teachers are so friendly and are so good with the kids that you really feel at ease when you're trusting them with your child. It is their home away from home after all. Our boy found so many lovely friends here, we are forever grateful that we have discovered this centre. There are so many activities for the kids and they learn so much here. The teachers put so much effort into their every day. Thank you all so much! We couldn't be happier. You can really tell that everyone that works here are truly passionate about children and really want to see them learn and explore. One owner based and you can just tell how much effort, passion and magic they have here at Starfish. It is definitely a hidden gem here on the Coast. It’s so sad to have our son’s Kindercare journey come to an end, but we can see the values, self-confidence and self-worth you have all helped to develop and strengthen in him as he navigates making new friends, tackling new challenges and making the big transition to school. He has made such wonderful friends through his journey (as have we!) and I’m sure he will be keen to say hi whenever he swings by dropping off or picking up his brother. Kindercare provided such a supportive, collaborative environment to help him thrive during transitions and periods of change, as well as build his language and understanding of his body and mind as we navigate the world with his potential neurodiverse diagnosis. The extra meetings with kaiako to build individualised plans and strategies to use at daycare and carry over to home as well were such a huge help for us to build confidence and resilience as a family while we figured out what worked best to support him. Kaiako listened and made us feel heard and valued when things were tough and celebrated with us when things went well. You have given our son the space to grow in his own unique way. We’re so very proud of our big man heading off to school and everything he has achieved socially, emotionally, physically and academically at Kindercare. You’ve been a home for him to grow and learn, and for that we will be forever grateful.”

“We were glad that we placed our son in Little Wonders' care. The environment is friendly, professional and educational. The teachers and staff are so caring, loving, genuine, down to earth, and trust worthy. Children play outside in the nice big backyard with lots of things to play on. There's just a wide variety of play and learn going on. My son loved Little Wonders, too bad we had to move to Auckland. I highly recommend Little Wonders to anyone needing childcare for their children. Thank you so much to Kuku and Paua room teachers especially to his key teachers, Chrishanti and Juliet. “I couldn’t speak more highly of this centre. There is absolutely no other centre quite like this one and you are quick to realise this upon spending welcomed time there. The kids here get the opportunity to go on bus rides, make trips to the local super market to purchase foods to complement the food they have grown, learnt and hand picked in their own garden, they go on bike rides, learn about things that are important and current to our world, the list goes on and on. My daughters development is growing at a rapid rate and I honestly wish I could take all the credit for it but I know the large majority stems from P2. The teachers all know how to care, extend, and most importantly understand what works best for her. I believe that her needs would get lost in a bigger centre so it’s nice that numbers are kept low here. P2 is not just an early childhood centre, it’s a family where everyone is accepted and embraced, family’s are connected together, relationships are built and successes are celebrated. When our time here is up, we will walk away with some life long friends and connections. I am so thankful that my daughter gets to experience care like this. Again, I could not recommend this centre any more.”

“If you're worried about sending your wee one to preschool you will feel at ease sending them to Grow Active Essex St. All of the staff are so lovely and helpful. Our wee one has thrived being there. She has some eating and sensory issues and the staff have helped encourage her beautifully to try new things, and put up photos so we can see her progress. When you have to work, it's a comforting feeling knowing they're safe and happy where you leave them.”
