Only good things to say about Island Bay childcare. Amazing staff, wonderful facilities and the outside areas in particular are great. The kaiako are very caring and teach the tamaraki wonderful values. My son absolutely heading off to daycare each morning.
I've had both of my kids at Island Bay Childcare and they have absolutely loved their time there. The under 2's room has been recently renovated and is such a nice space with a large dedicated area for babies who aren't on the move, i would not have felt comfortable sending my 6 month old baby anywhere else! Friendly staff, administrator Sarah and centre manager Beth are very engaging and talkative with whΔnau.
Highly recommend Island Bay Childcare - warm, friendly environment. I am at ease that I know my son will be taken care of. Teachers and Sarah - from the front desk go above and beyond for families - we feel very welcome here. Thanks for a great first experience of daycare it's been a dream!

Great staff and services. Classrooms are set up well and all the children are so happy. Outside play area is also well set up and supervised. Would highly recommended to anyone looking for outstanding childcare.
Have had my children at Island Bay Childcare for 4 years now. The staff are always friendly and professional. The on going communication I receive is always up to date and informative. Great onsite cooked meals that my kids always enjoy, fun actives planned throughout the day including water pay, painting and role play. Great outdoor spaces in each room including slides, sandpits, bikes etc. My children are always so excited to go there and I'm happy I can drop them off knowing they will have a fun & safe day.

The staff turnover rate is astonishingly high, no sooner have you got to know a new teacher then they are leaving again! Management and Owners are not very welcoming. Kids seem to have fun there tho and the teachers,(the ones that actually bother to stick around long enough), are good with the kids and teach them a wide range of things.
