   My daughter, Stella, had the most amazing time at Riverhead Montessori a few years ago. I just wanted to come and leave a review, even though it's been a few years, because this school truly deserves all the five star reviews they get! The teachers go above and beyond, and it's quite apparent that the children are their primary focus, both professionally and personally. The education she received set her up SO well for entering 'big school'. I just wish all children had the opportunity to spend their first few years in such an environment.

   Riverhead Montissori is and has been an amazing daycare for my three children. Reminiscent of a kindy, with a well loved environment and wholesome teaches, while still maintaining the child/teacher ratio and morning routine of a traditional Montissori daycare. The centre is well run and flexible, Rachel in admissions is seemingly always available and accomodating. Due to its community values and small country setting I feel that my children have very personalised care. For our family in particular we appreciate that there is always a very calm and happy atmosphere at drop off, I feel that this encourages my children to start a piece of work and allow me to leave without them getting overwhelmed or sad. My children also enjoy the mix of ages within the classrooms, being able to learn from those older than them and care/teach those who are younger. We cannot recommend Riverhead Montissori enough.

   We can’t thank the amazing teachers at Riverhead Montessori enough for the love and care they’ve shown our son! They let him learn at his own pace while making every day fun and meaningful. Thanks to them, he started primary school with so much confidence — no tears, just excitement! What we loved most? Never having to worry. We knew the teachers were paying attention, supporting him exactly where he needed it, and quietly preparing him for the big school adventures ahead. The Montessori way just makes sense, and we’re so grateful he got this wonderful start!

   We feel so fortunate to have found this amazing Montessori preschool for our son. The environment is calm, nurturing, and thoughtfully designed to support each child’s individual growth. The teachers are truly exceptional—loving, patient, and deeply dedicated. They take the time to really understand each child and help them thrive at their own pace. Our absolute favourite part of the centre is the outdoor area. It’s huge, with fruit trees, a playground, a sandpit, and lots of grass for the kids to run freely. The veggie garden is such a wonderful feature too—it’s inspiring to see the children involved in nature and learning through play. I honestly wish my son could stay here for his whole schooling journey. It’s the best decision we’ve made!

   Our 3 children went through Riverhead Montessori and we could not have asked for a more awesome preschool experience for them! We always knew they were loved and happy at Monty and they were so so ready to tackle school thanks to wonderful teachers who really know how to instill a love of learning. A truly special spot!

   The best in Riverhead/Kumeu area! We absolutely love Riverhead Montessori. Our child has thrived in this learning environment and has made many friends. The teachers are all so wonderful, they are like family and are so caring and nurturing with the children. Lots of space outdoors for the children to play and explore. We will miss Riverhead Montessori. Thank you Kelli and team for enriching our little one’s life!

   I cannot speak highly enough of Riverhead Montessori. The staff all went above and beyond to help when my first daughter had some challenges. My second daughter is so happy and comes out beaming every day. All of the staff feel like an extended family they are so warm and welcoming. Highly recommend.

   A friend of mine went through ALL the Montessori preschools in Auckland (for her children) and suggested that I send my kids here because it seemed to be the best. It truly is a special place where kids are well loved and encouraged to explore and learn. My kids are thriving here. My 4 year old is reading and writing already, and my almost 3 is thriving too. Would recommend anyone to take a look at this centre and do the visits.
