The teachers are caring and supportive working closely with parents as the tamariki start their kindy journey. The environment is engaging with interesting set ups that allow creativity and imagination to flourish ! “By far the the friendliest staff we have encountered at any kindi. Our young daughter really loved coming to this place. The staff takes really good care of the kids. We had to switch to Halswell Kidsfirst because its way closer to us. But we and our daughter really enjoyed her time at this kindi while she was there.”

“This is a great kindy. It has a huge outdoor area including a large covered area which is good for when it's raining. There are so many different activities set up to keep the kids busy. My daughter loves coming home with crafts she's made using the glue gun! The hours are perfect for my 4year old as she doesn't come home too tired and over stimulated!”

“All four of our children have attended Te Whare Rama Edinburgh Street, and we have loved the experiences they've had there. As a paediatric occupational therapist, I feel very passionate about places and spaces for children. Specific things I love about Te Whare Rama Edinburgh Street are the natural grass area, vege gardens, and trees outside, large sandpit and well-resourced outdoor play area, a side room for sensory regulation inside, and consistent routines that provide structure to the children's days in amongst the free play opportunities provided. The staff have always been skilled, kind, and patient with the children, and I have valued how faith-based teaching has been interwoven through my children's early education years. Highly recommend!”

“We have been part of the Rosy Cheeks family for over 8 years now. Our oldest daughter and son have moved onto primary school in that time and we felt they were both fully prepared and confident to make the transition after their time at Rosy Cheeks. Our youngest daughter, currently at Rosy Cheeks, also loves her time there. As a parent, the communication from head teacher Kathy is fantastic, and exceeded our expectations during the turmoil and challenges faced over the last 8 years. The daily contact,with each of the amazing teaching team (even when it is a brief word at drop-off or pick up) is very much valued. Rosy Cheeks has definitely met the needs for all 3 of our children and our family, and I would unreservedly recommend it as an Early Learning Centre.”

There is something really special about this kindy. There are plenty of trees for natural shade, and there is so much to explore outside. It is currently being renovated so the indoor space is going to be new and improved when it reopens next year!”

“We love the Halswell Learning Tree. Our four year old goes there and always comes home with a big smile on his face. They do all sorts of different things, he is always bringing different goodies home to show us. Highly recommend. Such a great family feel, with real homely experiences, gardening and baking etc.”

“Our kids truly love this kindy. I really value my children feeling they can do things on their own, and are encouraged to do so. It has the most amazing outdoor area for the kids to explore, and are actively encouraged to test their abilities by the teachers. My children come back so proud of the 'creations' they have made each day, and I know that as much as they have used the hot glue gun themselves, it was in a safe and supervised environment. It's so rewarding seeing at home how much they have progressed in academic areas like puzzles or recognising letters. But also in the ways they interact with others and problem-solving through their frustrations.”

“We love Mill cres kindy!! My son has made friends and been very well looked after. The teachers are all amazing and have been so accomodating with toilet training needs. They have a variety of activities indoors and outdoors for all of the kids interests.”

“Central Kids Glenshea Kindergarten Putaruru has been fantastic for us. The staff have all been professional, warm and welcoming from the start and it is evident they work together like a well oiled machine. They provide the care and attention that the kindy age require and I can leave knowing our little one is in good hands. From what I have seen both in my own child and the children on the floor at pick up and drop off, every need is well and truely met. The facilities are great and the children participate in an array of fun activities to help create a solid foundation for school. Teachers provide periodic feedback on our child’s progress and make themselves available for discussion about any concerns we might have. 10/10 recommend for any parents looking to enrol their child here!”
