“Delicious and well priced breakfast. The halloumi was very good and not too salty prepared to perfection, the eggs were amazing. The service was quick and great and they were able to accomodate my dietary needs without any issues and they added more food to compensate for the substitutes I had to make. We really enjoyed the experience.”

Came here for my partners birthday at lunch time very quiet and Food was delicious had kufta and lamb kebab with bread and wow the garlic sauce that came with the kebab was amazing never had anything like it! Bread was great meat was so succulent. The kufta sauce was delicious and the meatballs were succulent and I wish I could have eaten it all but I was so full! Thank you for this amazing food”

“Nice breakfast/lunch choices, the baked egg with chorizo was awesome, same for the grilled halloumi. Go sit in the back near the stage/window, such a lovely warm vibe created by the wallpaper, admire the bar wall. Big choice of Whiskey and Bourbons, I counted 97 different ones including some nice Japanese whiskeys. If you like Gin try the Monkey47. Also interesting original cocktails”

“Cozy little spot for a serving of big flavor! Probably one of the messiest bagel breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever eaten but it was too good to care or want to set down. The staff were all very friendly despite being very busy and working hard! Highly recommend.”

Their shisha is easily some of the best you’ll find, and the staff are warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. “Wow. We came here right after we landed in New Zealand from the United States. The staff made us feel so welcome and recommended the best food ever. We got the egg Benedict and the burrito and it was so incredibly delicious. They even gave us special little pastry treats for our travels. So kind, so delicious — 11 out of 10 !”

“This was our first stop after landing in New Zealand, and it set a great tone for the trip. The space has a relaxed, stylish atmosphere, filled with greenery—including an impressive tree right in the center—that makes it feel warm and inviting. We ordered the pork banh mi and a cà phê sữa đá. The banh mi stood out for its flavorful pâté and excellent house chili, both of which added real depth to the sandwich. The coffee was brewed with a traditional phin filter, which I appreciated, though the overall flavor didn’t quite come together for me. Even so, the visit was a memorable and enjoyable introduction to New Zealand’s food scene.”

“It was our first visit and will definitely be back! Very lovely owners who are happy to have a chat and the style/character of the cafe completes the package. Food is fantastic and service is quick. Lots of cabinet food choices available as well as menu options. Street parking is plenty so you’ll never end up having to lap around the streets looking for one. They do close later in the afternoon and are closed only on Tuesdays so it’s a rare chance to miss out on that sneaky late afternoon coffee/snack.”

“Great wee spot, I have been coming since they opened. Rebecca is a sweetheart and makes super coffee.. she's super kind and friendly. You can park right at the door and dogs are welcome. Mix of traditional brunch options lunch, great pies quality ingredients.. they used to do the food at The Fridge in Kingsland. Laksa superb Nasi Goreng... on point Satay and roti great... I have tried most of their Malaysian stuff.. and i am back regularly. I bought home a great carrot cake today. They do very nice salads and counter food... and a slap up english breakfast and eggs Benedict. You can see they have super reviews... and are highly regarded by Auckland foodies in the know.”

“Had the wonton soup and noodles. Wontons were made from decent sized prawns and lean pork meat with hardly any fatty bits that you see in some other places. Owners are so friendly and genuine. You can see many regulars popping in and being cheerfully greeted. While I didn't eat the sandwiches, I will next time round as they looked substantial with a ton of filling and well priced, too. Will definitely return.”

“Nice unassuming cafe in the middle of Manurewa. Friendly staff, coffee was good, had eggs bene which was good. Tidy and a good feel. Counter food and standard menu items available. Playing the Breeze which is nice soft background music. Overall they've got it right in my opinion. Would recommend, and happily return”

“My family and I were in Strangers Cafe on Monday after lunch to get ourselves some coffee and hot soy milk. It's our first time there. We liked the vibe of the cafe but what I loved the most was the service. The lady that was over the counter is very lovely and accommodating. I liked her authentic smile while talking to us. She actually made our day, specifically my son's special request of having additional marshmallows on his soy milk. This may sound simple but the kindness she showed is well appreciated. If she only knew that we just came out from a major car accident earlier and we were still rattled during that time. Even a simple act of kindness goes a long way. Thank you to that young lady, your deserve a shoutout as your service was superb!”

“Got the Beam Chicken Benedict. It was a great portion size (not too much, not too little)! The chicken was tender and moist, eggs poached perfectly and the spring onion pancake was a tasty refreshing twist on the typical eggs benny! Coffee was great too.
