“So many fun things to do at the park now. Partly sheltered with a sunshade. Skate park and water play area. Large climbing frame and slide. The larger park area contains walking tracks, gym stations and disc golf. There is also a basketball court for hours of fun.”

“A surreal experience! I would not have thought it possible to get a new roof on my bach so quickly. From first contact by phone to paying the final amount was a little over three weeks! From the first contact a quote was organised in about 4 days (and over a weekend). 4 Dec. quote received via email then discussion of details and colour; 5 Dec. advised “coil already on its way from Rotorua”; 6 Dec. deposit paid; a bit of time required for scaffolder but this was in place when I travelled up from Wellington on 14 Dec.; 19 Dec. returned home after job substantially completed day or two before (except barge flashings); 22 Dec. job complete and final payment made. Wow! My thanks to Stratco, the boys who did the installation, and especially Matt who took the time to carefully answer my many questions. Admittedly my bach roof was a relatively simple job, and I was lucky to catch a “window of opportunity”, but I was impressed by how Stratco “turned up the wick” to get it done before Xmas.”

“Nothing better than hanging out at the swings with a group of friends at lunch. The playground is fairly well equipped, and the pond next to the library is lovely, featuring large trees and some ducks. As for the main field itself, it's well maintained, and a decent size. Perfect for a variety of sports, or a nice picnic.”

“The kind of store that you go to buy one thing and leave with a bag full of stuff you think you need. Some shelves are often left untidy due to customers not returning items they no longer want and this can be annoying at times. Recommend for kid's clothing as there is a large selection of reasonably priced stock. Other redeeming feature is the opening hours, 8am to 12 midnight for those last minute purchases!”

“What a little gem! For a low price, I got a comfy tiny cabin with access to showers, restrooms, and the outdoor kitchen. Great location, just 20 minutes north of Napier. And the food is amazing, particularly the chicken filo, which I highly recommend.”

“We stayed on the 5th floor in a twin double room. Rooms are clean and the view is delightful. We even found you can open the window when it’s not windy and enjoy the fresh air. Beds are comfy.”

“We visited Napier Ocean Spa around 4 PM as a family of four—my wife, our two sons, and myself. We took advantage of the family rate, which was a nice deal. The experience was fantastic as we got to enjoy a relaxing soak in the warm spa pools while gazing at the beautiful ocean. The price was affordable, and the warm water felt especially refreshing after a long time. One thing we particularly appreciated was that it wasn’t too crowded, which allowed us to fully enjoy the spa experience. There was also a lukewarm pool for the kids to play in, which kept them entertained for a good two hours. It was a comfortable and enjoyable visit for all of us. If we ever return to Napier, we would love to visit Ocean Spa again!”

“Stayed one night. Clean tidy room. Only issue is the walls/doors arent very sound proof. Could hear the neighbour's talking outside in their car which was parked right outside my door. They weren't talking very loud but could still hear them.”

“Had fun at the tiny tots session today. The swim instructors that float around are really playful with your little ones and give some great advice. I will also mention that there are lockers available to use, you need a $2 coin to use them, you’re unable to get money out at reception so make sure you have it before you go if you want to use one.”

“This one worker her name was Jade, I always see her there and she is the best worker I've ever seen. She once helped me out of a locked changing room, helped a little kid after they tripped, got something for this old lady off a tall shelf, hyped up this girl in some shoes she wanted to buy, and even helped this guy pick out a nice scarf for his wife. Once I accidentally was short five dollars and she payed the rest. This girl is amazing and deserves so much more than she is paid. Praise this woman she is beautiful on the inside aswell as the outside.”

“We had an excellent stay at Quality Inn Napier! From check-in to check-out, everything went smoothly. Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Room was spacious, clean, and tidy, with two comfortable queen beds. It was also very quiet, which gave us a restful and uninterrupted sleep each night. They kindly provided a portable double hot plate upon request, which was perfect for preparing our own meals. The toilet and bathroom were spotless—another big plus. Location is also a standout—convenient and walkable to Marine Parade, which made exploring Napier easy and enjoyable. Free parking was spacious and felt very safe, adding to the peace of mind during our stay. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would gladly stay here again. Highly recommended!”
