“Loved being able to watch the FIFA match between NZ & Vietnam so close to home & relieved to find excellent covered seating in case the weather changed. Needed more food trucks to serve the crowd. I gave up waiting after 20 mins.”
“Sealed road all the way to the campsite. Stunning place to relax along the Mohaka River. We stayed one night and woke up to amazing birdsong in the morning. The sound of water at night is peaceful too. Would definitely recommend if you're wanting a place to stay between Napier and Taupo.”
“Great venue with fabulous stage. Dressing rooms and make up rooms are very good.”
“Had a pleasant afternoon with family & friends at the miniature Railway in Keirunga Gardens. Long weekend so food & drinks were available to buy. To ride the trains is $2 or can buy 12 ride ticket for $15. Nice picnic area.”
“Love this cute little playground.. fun things for most ages under 15. Nice trees and seats and not too crowded. Plus there are toilets onsite”
“So many fun things to do at the park now. Partly sheltered with a sunshade. Skate park and water play area. Large climbing frame and slide. The larger park area contains walking tracks, gym stations and disc golf. There is also a basketball court for hours of fun.”
“One of my favourite places. This place offers alot of variety. We have here the netball courts, soccer & rugby fields, hockey facility, athletics on the track, small stadium & running track around the complex. They is also a bike track for the kids.”
“Excellent service, greeted and shown our seats as soon as we arrived. The staff were always on hand checking on us, never had to wait long to ask for another drink or anything else off the menu. The food was delicious. Large meals. Wanted to try the dessert but didn't have enough room in our bellies from the delicious food. Love the garlic loaf and the mocktails were yummy.”
“Great little zoo to get up and close with the animals. Very reasonable entry prices and giftwares that are available in the mini store area. Feed is also available for feeding the animals on site. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location wasn't too bad either. Would happily visit again in the future.”
Napier RSA delivers a classic fish-and-chips offering that’s straight to the point. Plates offer plenty without tipping heavy. Portions suit sharing without losing balance. A family‑friendly feel comes through naturally.
“Lovely playground, includes modern climbing frames and swings, sandpit and slide. There is also a wheelchair roundabout but it appears to be under repair at the moment.”
“Awesome place to take the kids with their scooters and skateboards. Beautiful place to have you hold outs ( takeaways)”
“A welcoming place. Holds an exercise class with a cuppa afterwards, and there is beginner linedancing that I enjoy. So far the council funds it. Let's hope that continues. Also used to pass on handed-in produce and clothing to people who want it.”
“Lovely green house garden open to public. Can enjoy beautiful garden and then take a nice stroll around some of park walkways after to enjoy outdoor garden and other features park has to offer.”
“We stayed on the 5th floor in a twin double room. Rooms are clean and the view is delightful. We even found you can open the window when it’s not windy and enjoy the fresh air. Beds are comfy.”
“Thank you to the lovely young girls who handed my car keys in that I had left in the bathroom at the cinema and handed into the helpful staff.”
“The kind of store that you go to buy one thing and leave with a bag full of stuff you think you need. Some shelves are often left untidy due to customers not returning items they no longer want and this can be annoying at times. Recommend for kid's clothing as there is a large selection of reasonably priced stock. Other redeeming feature is the opening hours, 8am to 12 midnight for those last minute purchases!”
“Awesome escape room. Our kids had a great time and staff were extremely nice and helpful when booking, arrival and afterwards. Highly recommended.”
“Great variety and quality of food and drinks, clean facilities, great shopping, nice staff, Tesla chargers just outside, great indoor and outdoor seating, great foods from menu or display cabinet, highly recommend”
Havelock North Club keeps things simple, bistro-style and focused on flavour. Music and pace keep a casual tone. Front‑of‑house runs with calm, helpful energy. Plates offer plenty without tipping heavy.

“Absolutely awesome service and advice from Azaria at the hastings store Highly recommend for make up and skin care”
“Superb location central in Napier with beautiful sea views enjoyed from the room or on the balcony. Great bedroom, with comfortable bed. Spacious and well equipped with homely needs and an excellent stereo system. Little touches like coffee, tea and milk. This was one of favourite places we’ve stayed at here in NZ on our travels. Bike trips out to the vineyards etc. Tourist office directly opposite the apartment”
“The best Farmers store in Hawkes Bay, large range of quality products, great prices”
“Comfy seats and theatre warm. Ques long and could have done with more staff.”
“A first timer here myself, our Waipatu Kōhanga Reo tamariki and kaimahi had a ball, the whole area is fun, lots of pretty colourful tables and chairs spaced out out nicely, private rooms thank goodness for all our bags and shoes, it’s safe and so child friendly from the play area for all ages to the toilet facilities. The food and drinks came with a wide variety for all ages, loved the bathrooms, they were spotless, there’s changing table facilities in the wheelchair access bathroom for our babies, handbasins I have never seen before in New Zealand and all the countries I have been too, they are ideal, our babies did not need help washing their hands and I just had to take a photo. Great experience, we will definitely be back, best child play area ever.”
“I liked it. the only mistake is that the showers and women's cells were closed. but I understand that it is for safety.on the spot you will get something like a telephone where a good description of the place is recorded in fourteen languages and also a lot of interesting facts about places or people connected with the prison. the graffiti on the walls or beds were interesting. I believe that we will also play an escape room.”
“Thank you for the excellent service that my husband and I received today by two young assistants at your store. The helpful, patient and professional assistance was appreciated. Having to tackle a rusty towbar, assemble an ebike rack and attach the bike for two amateurs was a task in itself.”
“New art display and new big open field in the central part of town where people can relax with cafes nearby or even a bar just a short walk over the road . Good use of space just needs a couple of nice oak trees put there for shade during the summer time and could be used during blossom parade if they added a couple blossom trees to or near the corner/s”
