It must be an airbnb thing? The homestead has been operating as a private residence for such a long period of time and closed to nightly stays that I can only guess that the reviewer is abusing the privilege, of the ability to leave a false and malicious statement, for some nefarious reason. Oh well perhaps google should only accept reviews with proof of purchase. This place oozes charm is incredibly welcoming and was a total pleasure to stay in.”

“The Law Courts Hotel is a lucky find for us and anyone else who wants to camp in the middle of Dunedin. Perfectly located a couple of hundred metres from the Octagonal. Surrounded by any number of great cafes, restaurants, shopping, museums and event centres. An added bonus is the pub style restaurant which is part of the bar downstairs. Well priced (we were initially attracted by a special deal) the lower levels have just undergone a major renovation with updates planned for rooms ahead. Due this, I rate the room as a 4 star with a dated shower but superking bed was comfortable and new. Establishment well managed and maintained. Highly recommended. This is our new favourite downtown overnight stop. P”

“My border collie has been going to Laundromutt for many years, and Jim has always treated him with genuine care and compassion. Zeus is now 15 and at a stage where he gets tired easily and can’t stand for long periods. During his most recent groom, Jim noticed halfway through that Zeus had had enough. He rang me straight away and kindly offered to finish the groom on Saturday at no extra cost. I always appreciate how Jim always puts the dog’s best interests and wellbeing first. Thank you Jim, I hope you have a lovely holiday break.”
