“This is an over-due review; because, we did not find out about B&B Homestay online. We were given their contact information from a friend of theirs who ran a local hotel. We came into town the night of the Pink concert, and there were no rooms available in the town. We called, and Brenda hastily got our accommodations ready while we had a lovely dinner at a restaurant she recommended. Brenda and Bill, thank you for coming to our rescue, providing a comfortable room, a delicious breakfast, and a relaxing soak in your hottub at sunset. “The Law Courts Hotel is a lucky find for us and anyone else who wants to camp in the middle of Dunedin. Perfectly located a couple of hundred metres from the Octagonal. Surrounded by any number of great cafes, restaurants, shopping, museums and event centres. An added bonus is the pub style restaurant which is part of the bar downstairs. Well priced (we were initially attracted by a special deal) the lower levels have just undergone a major renovation with updates planned for rooms ahead. Due this, I rate the room as a 4 star with a dated shower but superking bed was comfortable and new. Establishment well managed and maintained. Highly recommended. This is our new favourite downtown overnight stop. P”

“This hostel is absolutely fine to stay in. I felt welcome the whole time I was here. The price is really cheap and the rooms are not any worse than any other hostel ive stayed in for a higher price. The staff are helpful and this place has a nice easy-going vine to it. The owner is lovely and has a cute little puppy! Kitchen well stocked with spices , seasoning, baking goods. 5/5 would recommend, wish I had time to stay longer.”
