“Amazing little place that can fit about 50 people or so. It is really better than what I expected. I try the mix grill and I really really enjoined it. The meat is so fresh and testy. The service was fast it took about 12 minutes for me to get my order which is normal for fresh grill . For desert I tried the baclava which really good. The only thing I really did not like as much is the hummus. The rest I really enjoyed it. The staff was amazing and very friendly with great smile . Wish them the best I will definitely will stop my again whenever I am in town.”

“A lovely local pub meal. The pan fried blue cod was outstanding and hubby's snitzel definitely hit the spot. A calm atmosphere. Would highly recommend.”
“Nice underground bar, big place. The food there is average but the atmosphere is good and the price is relatively attractive”
“Heard so much about the place and finally booked a table for a 40th Bday dinner. The night manager Holly was on the ball, friendly, attentive and knew her stuff. The food was brilliant! Had the dry age steak and worth every cent. Had the fries and beetroot salad to share and easily could've added a 3rd person to devour it. Overall it was a great night-walked out very pleased and super full! Will be back!”
“I keep forgetting to take pictures before I eat because it’s THAT DAMN GOOD! Not only that but the service is above and beyond what’s expected. Every time I’ve gone in I’ve always been greeted with a smile from the male owner. Last time me and my partner came here for food there was a small mistake which meant my partner couldn’t eat it. We asked if we could get another made and the owner was very apologetic and more than happy to fix the mistake. Not only that but he let me (a big eater) eat the original. When we came back a week later for another meal he remembered my partners correct order and apologised again. Extremely friendly staff, fantastic food which all adds to the fantastic experience. Thank you a lot!!”
“A great cheaper alternative to Subway”

“I had a great dine-in experience here. The atmosphere was very good and the servers were very polite and helpful. Unfortunately I ordered a main gnocchi dish and got a spaghetti starter instead but i was hungry enough to not care or say anything. Regardless the pasta was delicious and the restaurant was also able to provide complimentary parmesan to accompany my meal. The portion size of the hot chips for a starter was big and great value. Thanks for the great hospitality!”

“The Law Courts Hotel is a lucky find for us and anyone else who wants to camp in the middle of Dunedin. Perfectly located a couple of hundred metres from the Octagonal. Surrounded by any number of great cafes, restaurants, shopping, museums and event centres. An added bonus is the pub style restaurant which is part of the bar downstairs. Well priced (we were initially attracted by a special deal) the lower levels have just undergone a major renovation with updates planned for rooms ahead. Due this, I rate the room as a 4 star with a dated shower but superking bed was comfortable and new. Establishment well managed and maintained. Highly recommended. This is our new favourite downtown overnight stop. P”
