First time trying Dunedin Amigo's, food was consistently good with other cities. Dietary menu is great idea, and good gf options. Staff seemed friendly but under pressure, and after 10min of being unable to catch their eye, resorted to ordering dessert via table QR code/app. Used plates and glassware we not collected from table until it was time for us to vacate as allotted time up, due to slow service we were still eating. Bit shocked at total bill being over $300 (five people) but that did include four cocktails.

Th food I had in here was quite decent in taste. I had two different kind of tacos, one with Halloumi and one with cauliflower. I also had vegetarian Nachos. The tacos tasted really good and I would order them again this way. But there was still room for improvement with the Nachos, the taste was ok, bit I would have had more melted cheese. They were nicely presented though. The waitress was friendly, but a little bit stressed, which could be due that there were probably many reservations that evening.

Excellent food, lots of gf options (include gluten free churros!!!!). We had a large group of 13 and had a reservation. Expect about $30 for dinner. The service though...It took 30 minutes for one person to get a drink because they kept forgetting. 45 minutes to take our order. Also kept having to get up and find a waiter to ask for another round of drinks. Took half an hour after we were done eating to locate the server and order dessert.

It's a nice casual place to eat or hang out with friends. Located in central dunedin. Good price for tacos every Tuesday. Taste good and love the spiciness of the flavours.

The food at Amigos Dunedin was pretty good and the atmosphere had a nice vibe. Staff were friendly and service was fine. It is a bit on the expensive side for what you get, though. Also, there are roadworks going on right in front of the restaurant, which makes the entrance a bit awkward and less inviting. Overall, an okay experience - but not without a few drawbacks.

Pretty cool mexican food place! Great lunch options which are fairly priced. The main sizes are pricey and not much bigger than the lunch counterparts. Recommended

I love everything about amigos. The staff, the decor, the atmosphere, the drinks and most importantly the food! Every single taco I've had is exceptional. By far my favourite restaurant in Dunedin

Dined as a family, some of whom had dietry requirements. The vegetarians were well catered for, and the kitchen was more than happy to alter dishes to accommodate requests. Good variety of dishes available, reasonable serving size and prices Happy to return

Best tacos I’ve had in New Zealand. Beers were excellent too!

We visited Amigos as a couple reasonably early on a Sunday evening, and it already had a good vibe happening. Having booked online and been advised that there would be a window of just 75 minutes to dine (and coupled with the reviews we'd read about slow service), we were a little concerned we may feel rushed but the service was really quick and efficient. Entree to main meal turnaround was really quick, and the wait staff were very attentive. We kicked things off with bravas and kumara skins, and fried chicken - both dishes came with dipping sauces. Just delicious. We then followed it up with the quesadilla and a chicken burrito, with a side of fries. Again, both mains were amazing - very filling and we left wanting for nothing more (and we're big eaters!). We'll definitely be back.
