At Staff Club, the menu stays coffee-and-cabinet, served with an easygoing pace. Pricing lines up with the offer. Service stays present without fuss. Orders move at a steady clip. Coffee pours are consistent and well textured.
Food was more than what we expected - quantity and quality. Thank you to the chefs. Nice historic venue, well-equipped. Davor was very easy to coordinate with.
The staff club has a beautiful view and a river besides of otago university. Cozy atmosphere, too. The big window shows each different amazing view in each season. Cherry bloom and magnolias , green leaves,autumn leaves, natural environments, all things good included ☕️ tast and salads too
The soup here is absolutely next level! Really lovely service. Post script - August '23 - still the best soup!
It would be great if there was an elevator for those who have difficulty with stairs.
A reliable sanctuary....excellent coffee, and their salads and soup of the day are excellent
I absolutely love having my first coffee of the day, here. As a denizen of SCRs from Dunham to Cambridge I know a good staff commons room and this is one of the best.
Quite nice in there, I didn't know students could go in there. Have to have a game of snooker next time. Update 29/06/2022 Best kai on campus, coffees algood too.
The Staff Club is a fantastic cafe. Put simply, the food tastes great and is good value, the staff are very polite, and they make a great cup of coffee. The location is superb; situated in the middle of campus the staff club is a fantastic choice for lunch or a quick coffee. The atmosphere is very relaxed, the myriad of different seating options adds to appeal. Overall a fantastic cafe.
For all those ex Uni students....go and have a meal and drink at the staff club and watch those fresh faced students stumble by on their wah to lectures. Food is pretty decent. Good selection of alcohol and quite comfortable surroundings.
