“I love the amazing selection of pies you have. Even Duck. It's up there with the Fairlie pie and the West Coast Pie. My 2 Fav pie places. The pastry was flaky, crisp and well cooked. The pies I tried actually had large pieces of meat. Not your normal lots of saucy gunk and token meat. If you were closer to where I lived I am sure I would visit more... Perhaps that is a good thing weight wise. Good luck in your venture and current location.”

“A very unique café with an internal garden that creates a small indoor sanctuary. There’s also a designer clothing store right next to it, adding to the charm. You’ll need to book in advance if you want a good spot, as it can get quite busy on weekends. I’ll try to come early next time to fully enjoy the atmosphere. The coffee was decent.”
“We went out to a recommended restaurant for dinner, and the experience was wonderful. The waitress was exceptionally warm, gentle, and welcoming. The dishes take some time to be served since everything is prepared fresh, but it is absolutely worth the wait. For starters, we ordered: – Smoked Burrata with strawberries – beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. – Wild Mushroom Gyoza, served with sesame sauce, chili oil, and an Asian-style salad. An excellent dish, with perfectly steamed dumplings. For the main courses, which are the restaurant’s signature dishes: 1. Fish of the day – salmon, served tender, delicate, and absolutely delicious. 2. Braised Beef Cheek – slow-cooked with miso and sweet potato purée. The dishes were outstanding, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. There is both visual elegance and exceptional taste in every plate. Of course, we couldn’t leave without dessert. We ordered the pudding, which is their signature dessert, and it was excellent as well. We enjoyed the meal so much that we will definitely return to enjoy this wonderful food again, clearly prepared with great care and passion by the chef.”
“One of the nicest places in the city for Sunday high tea brunch. French creperie with multiple choices of both sweet and sour French crepes, including some vegan options. There are plenty of suggested options, but you can also go wild and create your own one. Crepes are really amazing, very tasty, good size portions and amazing taste. It’s really great that there is vegan options available, made of buckwheat. If you have not enough of sugar you can finish with a great desert selection. Coffee is slightly bitter and not the best blend , but tea selection is perfect.”
“This place is my absolute favourite! The food is always made to perfection – easily the best souvlaki in Christchurch! I tell everyone I know about it. I don’t know how they do it, but even when there’s a big queue, my order is ready so quickly. The regular chicken souvlaki with feta is my go-to, and it’s always so delicious that I finish it in no time. The service is consistently fast and friendly. Thank you so much – please never close!”
“Very good friendly service and lovely people. Food is amazing and the prices are even better. Had chicken burger and was massive and very good price, chips and fish were nice and hot and delicious. Overall very good value for a delicious meal. Also the only fish and chip shop that I know of that actually charges half the price for a half scoop of chips! Definitely come again.”
“Amazing team, great food delicious, and well-proportioned, sauces were on point definitely recommended to family and friends”
“Went at this lovely South Indian restaurant for dinner last night, we ordered Samosa chat as entree, mysore masala dosa, cheese dosa and plain dosa for mains. All the food is absolutely delicious and the dosa is very crunchy which I love the most also the coconut chutney and red chutney are delicious. Must try dosa from Chanakya one of the best in town highly recommend. There are sitting area in the restaurant but very limited. Don’t forget to book the table cause it’s always busy and hard to get table for dine in.”
“Tremendous food and excellent service. Only thing was that as an American Diner there should have been filtered coffee, then I found it. Absolutely perfect”
“We had a lovely birthday lunch. Food was fabulous, service was excellent and we had a window seat as well. Coffee was perfect too”
“We came here based off a recommendation and will definitely be back! We ate early, so there wasn't much of an atmosphere and the service was a little relaxed - which is fine, as we weren't in a rush. The food was out of this world! The portions are huge and the flavour in everything was just amazing. Our table each had something different and everyone thought that their dish was the best. We honestly loved this place and can't wait to visit again!”

“Delicious new muesli on breakfast menu. Also makes a tasty, moreish scroggin for scoffing on the go. Was peaceful when myself and 11 month old came in for coffee and food. Team were very accomodating, adapting breakfast with more yogurt so baby could have some too. Amazing coffee.”
“Best place in town for corn chips and dip! The queso dip is insane. I had to order some to take home with me after our meal. Frozen margaritas are my favourite also. Will be back regularly for sure!”

“Ok, this place is just heaven on earth. I can't recommend it enough. The food is divine. I mean heavenly off the charts delicious. They have a seafood chowder to rave and remember. All ingredients were fresh and the seasoning just perfect. The place is simple and doesn't look like much, but it really is a must for the soul. Great selection of wines for a cafe. We had the beef casserole and spicy prawns with some house cocktails and even the chicken sandwich was to die for. Sabina is the most delightful and charismatic woman. Her warm and caring hospitality were truly memorable. We sure hope she comes visit us to Mexico. She freely and thoughtfully shared her advice about travelling around NZ. Honestly, we would dine here if we lived in NZ. The flavours will live in our memory forever. Thank you for a great experience”
“I thouroughly loved their steak, it was well done to congratulations good. The mocktails are pretty refreshing too with an interesting blend that I didn't expect to be that good. I probably would have enjoyed their venison pasta (I forgot whatever its called) better if it wasnt for me arriving after a heavy late lunch. Overall good experience”
“As a local we are spoilt for choice, awesome bakery, Indian ,chinese and the best rice balls period. But once a week or so i get my regular large mixed meat on salad with Aioli and sweet chilli sauce, pita bread on the side. Perfect, i phone in and its ready when they said , especially love the salad strangely, they ask, but i say all salads. I recommend”
