Started working around the corner. Went here Friday for a bite to eat and i have to say it was the BEST fish burger I’ve had in a very long time. Couldn’t fault it. I will be back for more !!!!
Best fish and chips shop. Had a crab stick and fish and chips and the fish batter was good amount it wasn't like most fish batter where it's mainly batter and barely any fish overall best experience and will be back!!!!
I have never bought fish and chips for lunch before but some factors led me here. 1. It was hovering around 0 degrees and I wanted warm food. 2. I needed to get out of the house and go for a walk and it was closest store according to Google Maps. 3. I have been hammered by bills in the last few weeks and didn’t to spend more than $10. A big and hot lunch for $8 was a steal. It was super busy and their menu and stir fried meals looked amazing. Recommended

So use to go to Captain Ben's every Saturday lunchtime back 20+ years ago when I lived in Christchurch, I was in Christchurch today and decided to get fish & chips at Captain Ben's for old time sake... I'm really happy I did! Fish and chips are still really good and the price was really good too! If you're in Christchurch and feeling like fish & and chips, GO to Captain Ben's for them!!!!
Need to change the name of the Giant burger to Miserable burger, nothing giant about it but a giant disappointment. No bacon, no tomato, no beetroot, no cheese. One egg, one little pattie that was smaller than the egg, one piece of pineapple and a bit of lettace. All bread.
A very good fish and chips takeaway also the Chinese food. Good deals and the price is considered cheap. The fish size is big, taste yum. Will back for other menus definitely.
Wow great taste. I like the fish with unique fried flour. The chips also good. And I believe this is the best value for money takeaway in town.
