   This place is my absolute favourite! The food is always made to perfection – easily the best souvlaki in Christchurch! I tell everyone I know about it. I don’t know how they do it, but even when there’s a big queue, my order is ready so quickly. The regular chicken souvlaki with feta is my go-to, and it’s always so delicious that I finish it in no time. The service is consistently fast and friendly. Thank you so much – please never close!

   Very disappointing. Had the chicken souvlaki. Worst I’ve tasted. The chicken was over cooked and dry, the flavors were more Tuscan than Greek, the pita average, loaded with lettuce, a little tomato and a yoghurt type dressing. I miss a true Greek flavorful donor kebab…which was I was looking for at Riverside Market

   I loved Dimitri’s and even went back twice to have their souvlaki over my 2-day weekend trip to Christchurch. Portion size was hefty and filling, the veggies were fresh, sauces were tasty and the meats were juicy, tender and cooked perfectly - all large chunks too! I tried both the lamb and the chicken souvlaki and they were delicious. I recommend adding hummus as well as hot chilli into the souvlaki as they add more flavour.

   Very generous souvlaki portions, the 3 meat option can feed 2 people. They wrap it very nicely so things don’t fall apart or drip out either.

   If there were more than 5 stars I would happily give them to Dimitris. This is probably the most tastiest thing I've eaten in Christchurch. Highly recommend this if you're hungry and looking... The portions are incredibly generous. The meat is plentiful and seasoned to delicious perfection. They've been around for 35 years for good reason and know how to keep customers coming back for more. Great, traditional Greek street food. Will be my lunch stop when I visit Chch from now onwards!

   Few time I was in Christchurch and every time I ate here. Falafel is just amazing. It's always a line to get food, however, less than 10 minutes is waiting.

   I ordered 2 Lamb and 1 chicken 2lambs for me and my mom(she was at home for takeaway)and chicken for my husband because he doesn't like the Lamb meat. They gave us 3 Lambs by mistake. (They written chicken on the package crossed out form lamb) husband ate a few bites cos he was talking on the phone before he started to eat. But I ate more than half I really love it so I took him there. And he realized it wasn't chicken. I wish he didn't mind but he refused to carry-on so I took it front girl who served us to ask change to chicken and left food there. And She came back to ue with his souvlaki and said they can't sell or use because he ate it so can't change for free. Only they can change my mom's Lamb souvlaki to chicken. I didn't know what to say. But my husband got upset and said it wasn't our fault. Suddenly the owner brought the chicken souvlaki and gave us and took the Lamb(for my mom) out from the paper back also talked loudly "You ordered 2lamb and 1 chicken I gave same ok?" So I explained him it was for my mom's. Finally He just dropped like giving up to finish. We couldn't eat or anything lost appetite wanted though away felted extremely humiliated. What a amazing calculation and ridiculous response. They made us fraud. Never seen this kind of situation at the restaurant before. I loved the food there so wanted to let my family to try but by this happening I can't go back there and I don't want to have souvlaki with this bad memory. It bothers me because I keep thinking about it like a nightmare. Really nice. I had look the reviews and expected. I think this is one of the top 3 I've ever had souvlaki so far. Very big piece of Lamb, nicely go with yogurt sauce and hot sauce and vegetables. I had a single size pretty enough. Also it was beautiful day to seat on thadvantage ench and share with seagulls:) Thanks and love to visit again and happy to introduce to friends. Platter small is great too I added small pita bread for $2.50.
