“INCREDIBLE! We're visiting Christchurch and I wish we'd discovered this restaurant earlier in our trip to have visited a couple more times. The space is welcoming with a beautiful patio heated by wood burning fireplace and electric heaters. The staff is friendly and attentive. But the FOOD, y'all! Each thing we tried was creative, beautiful, and incredibly delicious. Tonight's fish was grouper and it was served 2 ways: fried and grilled - both absolutely stunning. The tomato and peach burratta caprese would have been delicious as is but was topped with basil ice cream instead of fresh basil and it was one of the most unexpectedly scrumptious things I've ever had. What a culinary gem!!!”

I particularly loved the Lamb Biryani—it was aromatic, perfectly spiced, and rich in flavor. The Lamb Korma was equally delicious, featuring tender meat in a wonderfully creamy and complex sauce. “Went at this lovely South Indian restaurant for dinner last night, we ordered Samosa chat as entree, mysore masala dosa, cheese dosa and plain dosa for mains. All the food is absolutely delicious and the dosa is very crunchy which I love the most also the coconut chutney and red chutney are delicious. Must try dosa from Chanakya one of the best in town highly recommend. There are sitting area in the restaurant but very limited. Don’t forget to book the table cause it’s always busy and hard to get table for dine in.”

“This is one of my favorite Thai places in canterbury. If you live outside of lincoln, it is worth the drive in to try this place. I have had the pad Thai twice and the crispy fish which comes highly recommended. Don't be afraid of the spiciness, get the medium! Beef cheek curry is to die for.”

“Went to Hello Vietnam last for phở . We got the beef special. That was one of the best phở we have had including during our recent trip to Vietnam. Today we went back for bánh mì and cà phê sữa đặc. The fillings and taste of the bánh mì are truly authentic. The size is a bit bigger than in nam. We could only eat one between us, the other came home for dinner. The coffee was superb. We will be back for certain.”

Menu has pictures and color coded pricing for each set of items ranging from $5.90 to $9.90 with the odd higher priced dish like the Peking duck. Wish I had more room to try more things. We will definitely be back.”

It’s difficult to put into words how divine the gardens and ambience was. Then comes out the food which was fresh and flavoursome. I would definitely recommend this experience.”

“Ok, this place is just heaven on earth. I can't recommend it enough. The food is divine. I mean heavenly off the charts delicious. They have a seafood chowder to rave and remember. All ingredients were fresh and the seasoning just perfect. The place is simple and doesn't look like much, but it really is a must for the soul. Great selection of wines for a cafe. We had the beef casserole and spicy prawns with some house cocktails and even the chicken sandwich was to die for. Sabina is the most delightful and charismatic woman. Her warm and caring hospitality were truly memorable. We sure hope she comes visit us to Mexico. She freely and thoughtfully shared her advice about travelling around NZ. Honestly, we would dine here if we lived in NZ. The flavours will live in our memory forever. Thank you for a great experience”
