Unfortunately I went there Tuesday afternoon got MANKY old chips that were left overs from the weekend cooked in oil thats not been changed for a while YUK no salt on chips as well
Rubbish chinese meals. Very plain full of noodles and very little meat. Virtually no flavor and as already stated mostly noodles. Bought 3 different dishes including a king prawn dish that has a total of three small prawns. Also purchased ghe fish of 8 dim Sims for $13. The dim Sims were just dried up sausage meat. Absolutely crap. Spent $71 in this shop, extremely disappointing and will not make another purchase. Strongly advise buying your Chinese takeaway elsewhere.
Got a fish and chips, combination fried rice and sweet and sour pork. Food was fresh, full of meat and large portions. Fish was battered well and crispy without being too oily. Same with the chips. The 4.5 rating does hold up here.
Went there for tea. Fish was great, really good hotdogs. Chips were great and a large serving.
Best Chinese food takeaway in Christchurch, hands down. I'm quite picky with what I'd define as a "good" Chinese takeaway but this takes the cake. Reasonable prices, decent sized portions.

Easy ordering, helpful and pleasant young lady taking orders. 15 mins max from start to finish around 5pm on a Monday. Chips were really good (crisp outside, fluffy inside), fish a good size, although Gurnard we ordered wasn't Gurnard (probably Hoki), Sole and Elephant fish were good. Outside of batter was crispy. We ordered way too much food for 2 of us, 1 scoop chips shared and 1 piece of fish each would probably be plenty next time. Would to back if in the area.
I had a combination chow mei cooked by the man. And was delicious and fresh. All the good veggies ur body needs. Def be back for more options
Went here for lunch today on the recommendation of “1 fish 1 scoop”. Got two fish and one scoop of chips and then went to the beach to eat it. Well! It was a massive portion of chips, hot crispy delicious chips! Very well salted and fluffy on the inside. Some of the best I’ve had. Then the fish. Big fillet, heavy and battered to perfection. Absolutely delicious! DELICIOUS!! The place was literally nothing to look at from the outside at all but that doesn’t mean anything!!! Will most definitely go back.
