“Cute small japanese restaurant. The restaurant is clean and has a comfortable athmosphere. The staff is very nice and helpful. They seem to like working there and do a lot for the positive vibe. What I've ordered so far: Takoyaki - new favourite dish at Coo's, I just had it today and it was so creamy and delicious! Gyoza - absolutely amazing, especially with some soy sauce. Can 100% recommend this as a starter or to have with a drink. Katsu don (Pork) - was amazing, it could do with some extra tonkatsu sauce for the rice but was still very (!) good. Ikageso - delish little calamaries. Nothing more, nothing less. Karaage don - the karaage was nice and juicy. I am not yet sure how it compares to the chicken katsu don but can recommend. Eel don - beautifully presented and I loved it, but I like eel in general, so if you are not big on fish, I would not recommend this. Umeshu - nicely presented and tasty, reminded me of some dried plums I've had back in europe”

The beautiful decor around the restaurant adds to the identity of the restaurant and the culture too. This restaurant deserves all the praise that they receive and will receive in the future. “My wife and I celebrated our 25th (Silver) Wedding Anniversary with a meal here. The food, service, and atmosphere were great. The view out over the Waitākere Ranges was beautiful, despite the overcast evening. It was unfortunate that we were unable to have our preferred and reserved outdoor seating, due to the verandah being inaccessible for wheelchairs.”

“Wow this is a return visit to this intimate dining venue after a few years. This time I was with my family. The portion sizes are generous. We had three small dishes and three mains with three sides. The small dishes were larger than expected. Pork, prawns and fish tartar all different but delicious. For a main I had the sweet and sour pork belly, this my go to dinner choice and it was mind blowing. I have rarely had a dish that was so perfectly balanced between rich salty pork and the sour sauce, I was in heaven. The duck fried rice and beef curry were rich and flavourful. No one had food envy and there was enough to share, we all loved it. Cocktails were lovely too, high recommended dinner experience. I'll let the photos speak for the cosy intimate atmosphere.”

I actually was able to eat the whole thing without lettuce going everywhere or it getting soggy, it seems like such a small thing but means so much to me lol. “A tiny jewel hides in lovely St Heliers neighborhood. Booking is super easy - online or phone call. Parking is easy as. Quality, freshness and quantity of dishes achieved a great balance. Clean and tidy - toilet too (and not wet). Try and you will keep coming back.”

“Deliciously amazing Don buri. Partner had the teriyaki chicken which was melt in your mouth and I had the misodare pork which was perfect. Pricing wise is cheap for what is offered. Going back again to try the rest of the menu!”

The vegetarian lasagna was amazing and best I have had in Auckland also my husband had the meat lovers pizza which was very good! We finished off with the baklava for dessert which was lovely. “This was our first time visiting this pizza place after seeing some good reviews. We ordered the Chicken Slingy Pizza and the Spicy Lamb Pizza. I can definitely confirm this is one of the best pizza places on this side of Auckland. I've tried all the pizza shops in the area and this is definitely the best with regards to taste, quality and value for money. “Had a Christmas dinner with work mates last night and it was fabulous. The kai was great, starting with a generous entree and pizza plus generous mains and desserts. We had takeaway containers as we couldn’t finish everything. And the service was excellent, the whole team pitched in - it was a busy night. The restaurant was jam packed but that didn’t seem to phase the waiting team at all. Congratulations on a very busy but wonderful environment, service and kai!”

“After hearing about the unique flavors at Galaxy Pizza, I decided to visit and try it for myself. As someone who is quite particular when it comes to food, I must admit I was thoroughly impressed by the delicious pizzas. The flavors are truly one-of-a-kind, and the ingredients are spot on. With a wide variety of options, there’s something to suit every taste. As a fan of spicy food, I especially enjoyed the Tandoori and Supernova pizzas, as well as the Supernova fries. To top it off, the staff were incredibly friendly, making the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend Galaxy Pizza to all pizza lovers!”

“Decided to have a late lunch at 9bowls after a bloody hot day at work. I've ordered the Korean Fried Chicken set and it was delicious! The staffs was very attentive and caring, making sure I am well sorted. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cozy and breathes good vibes. “Hey guys I can just give my feedback and my experience, so last week I went at the chicken and chips shop in Newmarket and was stunned at the packet chips was going for $8 Irritated to my purchase a went to the shop next door which happened to be a Role on Don. Now take into account that I bought the last serving of spicy pork with noodle and rice. As the shop owner was about to close the restaurant for the night, I can honestly tell you is the best value for money. I am south African born in my partner is from the Philippines. We both have decided that this is by far the best Japanese food that we've ever eaten in years since lockdown actually. The guy was friendly as anything his shop is clean and everything you see was just absolutely perfect and in its place, the atmosphere was good and the guy actually takes a step back and wants you to decide what you actually want, another than the first thing you see, as some places would. I honestly recommend you go to this place. It is funny before I left the guy did say that the spicy pork is spicy I think it was delicious and spicy super duper 100% fantastic...”

“Family wanted pizza for dinner. We tried the Pizzeria tonight for the first time. 3 ordered: Mr Wolf Pizza; Pizza el Pollo; and Margarita pizzas. All of the pizzas were beautifully presented, light crispy base, and all flavours were delicious. Quality pizza, leagues above dominoes, would recommend and will definitely be going there on a regular basis”
