Decent sushi toppings let down by substandard rice. The rice was under-seasoned, overcooked and packed too tightly, making it dense, gluey and not pleasant to eat. Rice is the most important part of sushi, so it needs to be done right or it’s not worth eating at all.
Hey guys I can just give my feedback and my experience, so last week I went at the chicken and chips shop in Newmarket and was stunned at the packet chips was going for $8 Irritated to my purchase a went to the shop next door which happened to be a Role on Don. Now take into account that I bought the last serving of spicy pork with noodle and rice. As the shop owner was about to close the restaurant for the night, I can honestly tell you is the best value for money. I am south African born in my partner is from the Philippines. We both have decided that this is by far the best Japanese food that we've ever eaten in years since lockdown actually. The guy was friendly as anything his shop is clean and everything you see was just absolutely perfect and in its place, the atmosphere was good and the guy actually takes a step back and wants you to decide what you actually want, another than the first thing you see, as some places would. I honestly recommend you go to this place. It is funny before I left the guy did say that the spicy pork is spicy I think it was delicious and spicy super duper 100% fantastic...
Had their promised $9.90 meat on rice for breakfast. DELICIOUS and I was genuinely satisfied after eating it, didn't need anything else. Super good value for money if you're looking for a treat, great vibe with cool window seats overlooking the busy Newmarket street, cute plants everywhere to make you feel at home! Staff were super friendly and helpful, they use BRINKS CHICKEN; if you're looking for Halal sushi, look no further than here.
First time here and tried the sushi where you can PYO. On the slightly more expensive side but was some of the best sushi I’ve had in Auckland. The rice was perfection and really fresh ingredients. Would like to try other dishes next time.
A wonderful little sushi place nestled in Newmarket. I've been going here for a few months now and service has been awesome the entire time. The food is great, and there are many choices of both meals & sushi options. The portions are also mostly great, and the taste is a good value for money. Sitting in to eat is always nice, and they do takeaway as well. Their prices are consistent with the rest of Newmarket, ie, a little on the high side, but again their value is excellent. Extremely friendly staff, and wait times are quite low outside of peak hours. The shop is very clean & the atmosphere is very nice. Some newer furniture would be nice, but it is great currently
Very yummy and fresh sushi! The staff are very lovely and the sushi is good value. Loved how I could use a plate eating in and not use any plastic. The shop is very clean and has nice relaxing music

So delicious! very special not same as other sushi takeway . I odered Teriyaki chiken and chiken karaage so yamm !! good value for money!
