“The best place to see moon rise. The sky goes colour full”
“Waterbank Crescent Playground is an absolute gem! It’s safe, spacious, and has so much to offer for all ages. The playground is incredible—perfect for both kids and adults to climb and play together. The stunning water feature kept the kids entertained for ages (don’t forget towels and togs!). The basketball courts were great, and all the kids were so polite and gentle with our baby, who kept running onto the court. The volleyball net with sand was a huge hit with the older kids, and the skate park was awesome for scooters. We attended my nephew’s 6th birthday picnic here, and it was ideal for everyone, from grandparents to babies. Highly recommend this place for families!”
“Great for children’s playground and walks”
“Great local school, wonderful invested teachers”
“The salmon sushi was so fresh tasting. It was nicer than some expensive sashimi I've had at some other places. I ate it all so quickly and went back for more pieces... Very affordable, tasty and extremely friendly staff. Thank you!”
“We had a lovely birthday party here for my daughter’s 9th birthday. Lynn is such a lovely and kind lady and so is her staff. Everything was exactly as described on their website for pony party. They have a huge and very well maintained farm. All kids and adults enjoyed the animal encounters and kids just loved the pony and horse rides. Nobody was rushed and kids had multiple rides. We really enjoyed and I can’t recommend this place enough for its hospitality. God bless them.”
“Best sushi place on the coast period. Nice selection and great value, staff are friendly and they keep the place very tidy. My only gripe is that they tend to stop making fresh sushi around about 3pm, Fair enough but would be great if I were able to get sushi after that time”
“Friendly team with professional advice.”
“One of NZ's finest hospitals. Brilliant staff.”
“Very tasty food, good quality and fresh, which is very important in sushi. I really recommend going there. In addition to being very fast and friendly service. I ate at the restaurant, which is clearly more designed for take away, but I still recommend it, because the important thing is the food.”
“Great shop. Fair prices and great customer service. Our local store highly recommend!”
“Overall, Kingwood Reserve provides a peaceful and scenic escape from the city, allowing visitors to connect with nature and explore Auckland's natural beauty.”
“A great place to eat, work and meet! Friendly staff and homemade style food. Absolutely awesome”
“Te reo Maori. Beautiful place and would highly recommend to others especially if your wanting your tamarikis or mokos to speak and learn te reo Maori.”
“Great service, staff and delicious sushi”
“Excellent service from this salon at all times. Professionals who aim to make you feel welcome and give you 5 star treatments. At all time from Tuesday to Saturday, you able to walk in and ask questions, get products and book appointments. Thank you Lyndsey and your amazing team for going over and above with your professionalism and expertise in knowing what your customers need.”
“This is the best Japanese restaurant on the north shore and that I have ever been to. The food is exceptionally good. The service is consistently wonderful and they always make sure you feel welcomed and happy. The staff are all amazing and the store is consistently clean and tidy. I love this store and the lovely staff who make my day every time I walk in. TLDR: Great food, Great cleanliness, Amazing service. 10/10, would give more stars if possible.”
“Had the most amazing once in a lifetime experience on this safari. We were booked on a weekend cruise but due to weather it was cancelled but it was super easy to rebook onto another day which went ahead and it was AMAZING!!! We were extremely lucky that day to see hundreds of dolphins in a feeding frenzy where many whales came to feed ( we saw about 10/11 whales that day!) they did say this wasn’t what they see all the time and we were very fortunate. The staff were just as excited as us and they were excellent along with the informative commentary, would 1000% go again and recommend to everyone as they also do it for conservation! This will be a trip I’ll never forget!”
“Roberta Reserve is a hidden gem tucked away in Glendowie. It’s peaceful, open, and has such a calm vibe—perfect for families, dog walks, or just taking a moment to breathe. The reserve runs alongside the water with beautiful views, especially at sunrise or sunset. There’s a great little playground for kids, plenty of space to kick a ball around, and shady spots to relax under. It’s never too crowded, and the mix of native trees, birdlife, and open space makes it feel like a proper local retreat. Definitely one of those underrated neighbourhood spots you feel lucky to know about.”
“Great beach for a nature break in the city; fantastic with takeaway/packed meal at low tide to walk off street the nom nom noms. Not recommended for inexperienced or young people to swim due to long jagged rocky foreshore bed.”
“A magnitic for visitors from near and far. This is the most famous and popular beach in Auckland. Always packed. You can try the eateries along Tamaki Drive. There is two toilets. There is also a playground. There is a police station at the intersection. Always lock your car and don't show any valuables.”
“The most authentic and delicious Mexican food places in Auckland. Can't recommend it enough.”
“First time eating here and was blown away! The servings are generous. The food is so flavourful! It taste so fresh and not oily at all. We got the beef pho (hubby wasnt feeling well and says that was super good). And the lemongrass porkchop on fried rice. Had to take half home! We definitely will come back. Such a gem”
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Now I understand why Gemmayze Street was voted No.1 — this place is outstanding! The chicken shish is hands down the best I’ve ever had: juicy, full of flavour, and perfectly cooked. The saffron rice with raisin, walnut, and a touch of sour creamy sauce is absolutely delicious — a perfect balance of sweet, nutty, and creamy. The hummus is also a standout. It has a flavour that reminds me of Sichuan chili, but without the heat — super unique and addictive. The lamb was decent, pretty standard compared to everything else. I also tried their new dessert — it was okay, just not quite my taste. Overall, a fantastic experience and a must-try if you’re in the area!”
