“Staff are amazing very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and well prepared. Not the best Raman ive have in Auckland but I would definitely still come back to dine again as the space ans team.are so nice. Atmosphere is great. Just the tables are so close together it kinda takes away from it a little and the two women next to us decided to air there drama and have a little domestic while my pregnant wife and I tried to enjoy a nice meal together. But I totally get why the tables are like that because its a small popular place and I would do thr same if I was the owner. Thanks team ar Takara you should all be proud of your efforts.”
“Super busy in the weekend and a lot of the time there will be a line or waitlist. But it's worth it. The atmosphere is very good. Smokey and noisy. Most of the yakitori is delicious. Special mentions are the tsukune and beef tongue. Perfect with some sake.”
“Queenies has a lovely cozy energy, staff were kind and welcoming, and the prawn spaghetti had the perfect kick for a cold winter’s afternoon. My friends and I are already planning our next brunch date there, thank you!”
“This was a fantastic dinner! My wife and I chose this restaurant for our final evening in New Zealand, and it was the perfect way to end an epic trip. We started with drinks. I had a beer that was huge, and my wife ordered a chili margarita, which she loved. We both had the ribeye steak, cooked to perfection, with delicious sides. We also shared oysters, which were incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely engaging. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an excellent meal in Auckland.”
“Best café with great prices for their food! I love that they use garlic pita bread, and their unique sauce-on-sauce combo really sets them apart from other kebab shops. Definitely recommend!”
“We drive past this place almost on a daily and finally had a chance to visit tonight. My wife and I had the most amazing evening at Blue Ox Babe Pukekohe. From the moment we walked in, the staff were exceptional hosts and welcoming. The food was pure magic!! Every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. Thank you Blue Ox Babe.”
“This is one of the best restaurants in Auckland for sure, this restaurant serves flavourful cuisines and the taste is very unique. I really liked the sambal sauce they served on the side and it’s good if they have it to purchase for a lower price as they have it for $20. I would definitely go back.”
“It was so nice I had to go back TWICE. Could not recommend more - I’ll be back for more of their blends and that life changing HASHBROWN.”
“Little Jimmy exceeded expectations. It was pretty busy on a Saturday lunchtime but it was surprisingly quiet and comfortable. Service was friendly and extremely quick. Great menu, and the food was lovely. I ordered the chicken schnitzel and couldn't fault any aspect of it. Good wine list and excellent coffee.”
“Fantastic dinner with my sister on Friday night! Warm attentive service, but also not interrupted too often which was great as we were catching up. Food was very tasty and cocktails were refreshing! Pork belly and Beef takati were the favorites!!”
“So many options for both meat eaters and vegetarians! We ordered the misodare tofu and potato croquette curry and enjoyed both dishes. Wonderful flavours, good affordable price and decent portion sizes.”
“Delicious lunch at Biskit Cafe & Kitchen today. Service was good, food was served promptly, and staff were very friendly. Seems to be a favourite as the store was packed even on a weekday. As for the food, everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Portions were great. We had the Thai chicken salad, Seoul beef burger, and fettuccine. Overall, it was a delightful experience. Would definitely be coming back in the future. Would recommend if you're in the area.”
“Breakfast was delicious! And we love the outdoor Cafe dining experience. I had the SEB bagel breakfast and my companion had the brioche French toast.”
“Had lunch here over the weekend with our two little boys, the staff are so friendly, went out of their way to help us move when it started raining and super friendly to us and our boys. The food is amazing too! The Korean chicken was our fave. Highly recommend this place has the perks of being in the city without the hustle and bustle of pedestrians walking past.”
“The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere,Ramen so yammy.I love it.❤️”
“5 stars all round, wonderful (fast!) service, beautifully presented food, affordable prices! Highly recommend!”
“Amazing customer service for our small group today & the food was fresh, plenty of & super delicious. We were so pleased to find a lovely airy cafe in this heat, where we could talk and have plenty of space to enjoy it all. We will be back.”
“A must go. This is now our second time and loved every bite of food. I had the pork katsu curry with rice and it was just simply delicious. If you’re having dinner in my Eden, please have it here.”
“For the price, outstanding. Huge plate of lamb rump and two skewers. Nicely done fresh veg. If you're unfortunate enough to start at the nearby Novotel, ignore their wretched restaurant and take a 15 minute walk to Green Lane Gastro Pub. Well worth it. My meal was lovely and every other plate I saw going out looked great.”
“I love this place! I was in Auckland for a 3 week time period and visited this restaurant on three different occasions. The staff is nice and the food comes to the table in a timely manner. The yogurt soju cocktail is a great option to share with friends. The King's Katsu menu item was my personal favorite and is great with either sauce option. It is also in a very good location in the CBD of Auckland and offers a place to eat during a day of exploring the city. Highly recommend it.”
“Very impressive food, fresh and great tasting, good size portions.. Really nice owners that take care of you No complaints”
“High streets best kept secret! Visit on a sunny day for a beautiful outdoor escape or a rainy one for a cozy coffee (the heaters / cover work wonders). Coffee and service is always 10/10, and the Bacon Benedict is always hits the spot. Love that they also support local businesses as well. Definitely visit if you’re looking for a cheap and cheerful brunch spot in the CBD.”
“I had a wonderful experience at this cafe! The interior and overall atmosphere were lovely, creating a warm and inviting environment. We tried the lamb pappardelle, market fish, and asparagus, and everything was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. For dessert, we had the crème brûlée and tiramisu. They were both great! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious meal in a beautiful setting.”
“Picked up a Cashew Chicken Noodle, a Sweet and Sour chicken with rice, a yellow curry with rice and some Spring Rolls for my family up from Dunedin today at WoknNoodle Mt Eden. They absolutely loved it. It fed 5 of us for lunch! Thanks Lee, your food always hits the spot!”
“Our first time dining at this restaurant and we were absolutely impressed with the food and service. Every dish we ordered was mind blowing, absolutely delish. The service was prompt and the staff were wonderful. Thank you we will definately be back!”
“The restaurant has a warm, cozy atmosphere that reminds me of Vietnam - simple, welcoming, and full of charm. It feels like a little piece of home. The service is excellent; the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, which really enhances the overall experience. The food is decent, with authentic touches, but there's still room for improvement. With a bit more refinement in flavor, the dishes could really shine. Anyways, i’m gonna come back to try more food options here!! Overall, it's a lovely spot worth visiting, especially if you're looking for a Vietnamese vibe and genuinely kind service.”
“Great food, service and atmosphere early Friday evening. Happy hour drinks are great value. Not been here for some time but will definitely be going again”
“We drove all the way from Orewa to Stonefield's for lunch here. Separate fryer for gluten free chips and chicken bites. Burgers were great. Only problem is we ate too much because it was all so good! Thank you from the Coeliac community!”
“This is our second timing dining at The Oyster Inn... and it once again did not disappoint! Our meals were amazing around the table... I was recommended the crudo and it was absolutely beautiful... followed by the Crayfish Linguine which was also fab! Around the table our group was super happy with all our meals and the drinks were pretty good too! But deserving of special mention, and I feel terrible for not catching his name, was our lovely Italian waiter. He honestly made it feel like we were dining with a friend as he was so helpful, fun and attentive! What an asset he is... thank you so much for a great evening!”
The kitchen at Gastronomics Restaurant Cafe & Bar takes a simple, bistro‑style path and lets the food speak. A sensible spend for the spread. Service stays present without fuss. Meals reach the pass promptly.
