“Excellent food and service from Thai Street. Papaya salad was nicely seasoned and prepared. Tom yum soup is actually huge for $32.5 and good to share for four people. Pad Thai and beef was fantastic too.”

“First time trying this place after moving into the area. Ordered a hot red duck curry takeaway. Took about 15 minutes. It was so good! Lots of vegetables, a whole breast cut up on top and actually spicy! Came with rice so very well priced for $24, especially for the duck serving. Woman on counter super friendly. Will be back!”

“Impressive variety of quality vegetables and succulent chicken. The sauces were beautiful and the spice ranges were finally hot enough! Thai “medium” is what many western people will call too hot… but it’s not! If you don’t like spice order mild - for me, I ordered the hottest curry I could and it was incredible!! The sharp chilli spice cutting through the creamy coconut sauce with rich umami undertones… heaven. The Pad Thai lacked that sexy wok hei smokiness, and I prefer a wider flatter noodle, otherwise fantastic.”

“So I was invited to do a collab on a collab between Gen Z influencers @wezgudinc (on IG and YT go follow and subscribe) and Flaming Onion Browns Bay. They are reviewing the best cheeseburger in town. The branch in Birkenhead is phenomenal cos I have had food from there during lockdown and it’s still memorable! So we rock up to the Browns Bay branch and let me tell you they do not disappoint! Sham was on duty that day and he made a platter of delectable food! The cheeseburger was spot on! And the loaded fries were enthused by the pulled pork on top. The fries were perfectly crispy on the outside and mushy on the inside! Totally worth the visit and cost. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️”

“WOW, my 3rd visit to this establishment for celebrating birthdays and today a MOTHERS DAY high tea experience! This was outstanding, the wait staff really looked after our table despite the cheek I gave them all. The place settings and tea selection was first class, then came the delicious high tea style food plus hot savouries absolutely amazing and super delicious we managed to eat everything presented! After our feasting we all went for a stroll around the beautiful property, fantastic a wonderful place for wedding photo shoot! Oh and the venue of course. Thank you for the most enjoyable trouble free MOTHERS DAY celebration! No dishes or cleaning up required! “On Christmas 2023, my brother and sister-in-law gifted me and my husband a gift voucher to Parnell 149 high tea with bubbles. Was amazed by the food quality - they were delicious! The service was great from the 2 host and the manager Jazz. The restaurant was well presented, clean including the bathroom. Please keep up the good work.”

“The braised green bean and egg plant was different from pic (no onions, no pepper, and the color) So we asked about it. A staff said, it couldn’t be the same as pic. and plz try it and if you still don’t like it, I’ll change it for you. So we tried and asked another menu. “Firstly, these guys offer those super tasty Cantonese/Hong Kong flavours - not the less satisfying mainland Chinese flavours becoming more prevalent in the city. Even the free soup (see pics) was tastier than many paid soups found in other restaurants. We ordered the Dry Fried Round Beans (G1 on the menu at the time of ordering) which comes with that super tasty Cantonese pork sauce - it makes everything taste better! And a big serve of Soy Chicken BBQ noodle soup (N2 on the menu at the time of ordering) - you won’t leave hungry! Delicious Cantonese style Soy chicken & BBQ pork with egg noodles - and that sweet/umami combo Cantonese soups are famous for. Even the tea was special, with a balanced, light fragrance which comes from a touch of lemon - a house blend apparently. Thank you, we’ll definitely be back!”

“Hard to find places that are this good! I rarely crave certain dishes or restaurants, and I’ve come here about 5 times, mostly for the Olympus platter shown in the photos. I’ve also gotten the platter with the chicken and a lamb wrap. Everything is so extremely delicious, and amazing value for money as the portions are extremely generous. Truly so rare. I am also not one usually impressed with salads, so the fact that every salad I’ve had from here is addicting is saying something. The lamb and chicken are both super succulent and fall apart, the sides are great, so fresh and flavourful, and everything is amazing value for money, very rare for the quality of food. The second time we went they had warmed up the flatbread which made a massive difference. The dips are flavourful and fresh, tahini dressing on the cauliflower salad is delicious, the chunk of crispy halloumi is so good. The complimentary hot tea is also such a nice addition that I haven’t seen many places. Very high quality of food, service, and bang for your buck. Will keep coming back here are trying more things for sure, but the Olympus will always be a crowd pleaser.”

“**Great food, relaxing vibe, and excellent service** We stopped by Florrie McGreal's Irish Pub in Takapuna and had a great experience. We ordered the buffalo wings (next time we'll go for the hot ones—these were mild but still tasty), shoestring fries, the pulled pork burger, and the beef brisket burger. Everything was fresh and satisfying, especially the burgers which were full of flavour. Special shoutout to Nelli for her fantastic service—she was attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome. We sat outside, which was perfect for a chill afternoon, watching the world go by. Definitely a spot we’d come back to for a relaxed meal and good vibes.”

“After an initial rocky start with noisy neighbours, the hotel reception shifted me to a different floor. The old room and the new room were identical. Both of them were great and quite clean maybe 9/10. The bed was comfortable, also clean and medium firmness, which I liked. Shower pressure in both rooms were good. Generally, I think this is a good place to stay if you need to be on Auckland's North Shore. Interactions with reception and housekeeping were always pleasant. There were very, very minor issues like the kettle flap was broken, the dryer ran extremely loudly. I was a little embarrassed to use the dryer at night due to the noise. The towels were thin and could be thicker.”
