   appalling service. We waited 1hour 40 to be served our meals and then the were not what was ordered. We ordered first in a table of 6 but were the last to be served. Meals were served at intervals of 15 minutes. This is the second time this has happened to us but it will be the last. Got no response when complained when paying.

   The Thai Yellow Curry at this restaurant is simply unforgettable. From the moment it was served, the golden color of the curry looked so inviting, rich, and comforting. The aroma of coconut milk blended with delicate spices filled the air, making it impossible to wait another second. The very first spoonful was a burst of flavor—creamy, mildly spiced, and perfectly balanced. It’s rich without being heavy, fragrant without being overwhelming, and truly one of the best yellow curries I’ve ever tasted. The meat was tender and fresh, cut into just the right size, and it soaked up the curry beautifully. Every bite with warm jasmine rice—it was pure comfort and satisfaction. What makes this curry stand out is that it has a depth of flavor that’s hard to find elsewhere. It’s smooth, aromatic, and simply addictive. I have to admit, before coming here I had read a review claiming someone found a strand of hair in their curry. Honestly, I didn’t believe it, so I decided to try it with my family to see for myself. The experience turned out to be the complete opposite—everything was clean, fresh, and absolutely delicious. My whole family couldn’t stop praising how good the food was, and we all agreed we’d definitely come back again. The restaurant itself has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with staff who are attentive and always smiling, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. If you’ve never tried Thai Yellow Curry here, you absolutely must. Don’t let rumors or doubtful reviews stop you from experiencing the real thing. Once you taste it, you’ll understand why I fell in love with it—and why I can’t wait to return.

A smiling female staff member welcomed me at the entrance with such warmth and friendliness — truly living up to Thailand’s reputation as the “Land of Smiles.” The service throughout the evening was absolutely exceptional. The male staff were courteous, respectful, and genuinely attentive, always ready to assist with a gentle tone and a kind demeanor. Whether it was offering recommendations, refilling water, or checking in on our table, everything was done with grace and care. The food? Authentic and delicious — bursting with traditional Thai flavors that brought comfort and joy in every bite. But what made the dining experience truly unforgettable was the hospitality. It felt like being hosted by people who genuinely care about your experience. If you're looking for more than just great Thai food — if you want to feel the true heart and soul of Thailand — Pattaya is the place to be. Highly recommended.

   First time trying this place after moving into the area. Ordered a hot red duck curry takeaway. Took about 15 minutes. It was so good! Lots of vegetables, a whole breast cut up on top and actually spicy! Came with rice so very well priced for $24, especially for the duck serving. Woman on counter super friendly. Will be back!

   Not very authentic, ordered larb gai and it tasted anything but authentic Thai larb gai , lack of lemon taste , no onion and was not spicy, very tasteless

   Had vegan red curry and a vegan stir fry satay. The red curry Had lots of aroma and flavour. Definitely the best I’ve had in northshore! The peanut sauce in the satay stir fry was quite sweet and could do with some peanut bits in it however didn’t take away too much from the overall experience. Thanks for the good food! Will be back for more curry! :)

   We thoroughly enjoyed the set menu this evening. Set in a quaint and tasteful authentic setting, Pattaya Thai does a great job of bringing delicious Thai food to Auckland. The entrees and mains were very tasty and I appreciated that rice is included and provided when needed, rather than tiny little pots that other restaurants provide. The hostess was lovely, knowledgeable and had a wry sense of humor. Price-wise, at $29 for a full entree, main and dessert, we really felt like we were getting a good deal. Thanks guys!
