“What a great and beautiful theatre the Civic is. It has so many spaces, and walking inside feels like being in a movie. It was also used by Peter Jackson to film King Kong, and today it hosts international shows. The place is very well kept, with respect for the time when it was built. The hall with its starry sky. The bronze. Everything always shining. Very recommended to visit.”

This allows customers to disinfect their hands before eating, which is very hygienic and aligns well with the restaurant's halal philosophy. I recently brought my parents for the first time here, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The spacious dining area, complete with offerings like gelato, formaggio, salumi, and il pasticcino, sets the stage for an authentic Italian feast. The service, professional and like a well-oiled machine, only adds to the charm. We indulged in the Leek and Potato Soup, Capresina, Spaghetti Alle Vongole, Tiramisu, and Tiramisu Eclair. The Capresina was a standout, generously topped with premium Burrata and Parma Ham. The Spaghetti Alle Vongole was a revelation—fresh pasta, perfectly cooked clams, and a symphony of flavours that made it the best I’ve ever had. To top it off, their Tiramisu is flawless. The prices are more than fair for the quality and craftsmanship of the dishes. Practicalities? Plenty of parking and a grocery shop next door make it a win-win. My advice? Just go. “One of the best Indian Restaurant in west Auckland. You don’t find the authentic Indian taste everywhere in Auckland but Shahi is a must visit for all the food lovers. Amazing food with great service from the team . The owners are very welcoming. It’s my go to place every weekend . You must try the Palak Paneer/Veg Kofta /Veg Biryani and Momos they are very good . I am a vegetarian but my friends have tried lamb biryani and curry and they like it a lot.”

“I had an amazing experience dining at Sidart with my partner. The waiter and waitress were attentive and the food was served at a very good pace - not left too long between the courses. The food itself was absolutely delicious, one of my favourite out of all the degustation meals I’ve had. The flavour combination was unique and finely balanced, and the amount of food did not left me too hungry or too full by the end of the night. Would highly recommend this restaurant to others and will be sure to come back soon :)”

“They offer good shisha, delicious food, and drinks. They both have indoor and outdoor dining. The shisha is outdoors with heater and they provide blankets if you wish to have one. The place gets really busy no matter which day - that’s how good they are. The food I enjoy the most is their cheesy mayo fries. It’s crispy and the amount of cheese and mayo is not too overwhelming. I also enjoy their Iraqi tea. I never would have thought I’d enjoy a cardamom taste on my tea. It soothes my throat and warms me on winter nights. Their shisha is 50/50 and I guess it depends on who makes it. But it is definitely a place to catch up with friends over food and shisha. Especially when you’re stressed and just want to relax. The staff are very lovely. They try their best to be attentive to everyone, even when busy. They always greet us with a smile. The owner is such a lovely lady and will welcome you like a family. They do have a good selection of meals and desserts. They also have RTDs, beer, cocktails, mocktails, etc. Suitable for all group size. I highly recommend.”

I’m not quite sure what kind of seasoning you guys do for your chips (chicken salt??), but holy damn they were so on point. Perfect amount of seasoning and perfectly crispy, Chips really can make or break a meat on chips. Chicken was beautiful, again the seasoning was incredible. Fresh salad and yummy sauces. “Been going here for about five years. The best suishi around bar non, their tuna & avocado roll, & salmon avocado rolls are the absolute best there is no comparison. They make incredible Udon too, when they're closed I'm always so disappointed with other sushi places. Try them, you wont regret it, seriously!”
