“A nice little takeaway serving freshly cooked Indian food and snacks. The menu items are limited which makes the choice of items very easy. The food is kept in heated display units which makes it easier to order and choose from. Taste is nice and balanced in terms of spices. The staff are nice and helpful too. Prices are reasonable and genuine. A couple of seating stools are inside the takeaway for a quick bite. Very nice experience overall.”
“Delicious and authentic One of the best Nepales n Indian food I’ve had—rich flavors, great portions, and very friendly service. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Highly recommend for a tasty, satisfying meal☺️☺️ Best place for events”
“Loved the food here!! The chicken biryani was full of flavour and the naan was so soft. Staff were super kind. Will be back.”
“We have tried a lot of Indian eateries in Auckland and this one has become one of our new favourites. The chicken korma and butter chicken were both very tasty. The level of service was great. Highly recommended”
“Food is amazing here, had the salmon sushi roll, popcorn chicken, and soy garlic fried chicken. All delicious, best sushi I’ve had so far in Auckland! Just wish they did fried chicken combos. Staff are incredibly friendly.”
“Great taste and fresh. Main aunty is pretty angry and likes to yell at her workers in Japanese but that adds to the vibe of the place”
“I had an unforgettable experience at Bombay Kitchen in Auckland! I tried the Masala Chicken and Naan, and both were absolutely amazing—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The spices were spot on, and the naan was fresh, soft, and delicious. But what made this visit truly special was the atmosphere. I sang a Hindi song for the kitchen staff, and they joined in! We all sang together and had such a great time—it felt like a real celebration of food, culture, and connection. Not only does Bombay Kitchen serve incredible Indian food, but they also have the kindest and most welcoming staff. If you’re looking for a place with amazing food and even better vibes, this is it! Highly recommended!”
On the plate at Rosemead Takeaway (Fish and Chips), the idea is simple, bistro‑style and well judged. Front‑of‑house runs with calm, helpful energy. Pricing lines up with the offer. Serve sizes show solid value.
“Great atmosphere. Food is really delicious. The only reason for 4 stars is that the steak was a little bit over cooked, but luckily still pink. The stuffed chicken was fantastic, the peppercorn sauce the star of the show! Friendly staff and prompt service. Great restaurant with good variety. Today, I couldn't fault anything. And the 2 girls that served us were SO amazing!! It felt like home! Thank you so much!”
“The asian lady that served me was wonderful. A great deal and she made it even better. Sleeping bag and bed.”
“Simply the best Chinese food - all the dishes you normally get at your average Chinese take out but restaurant quality! Lovely people - very friendly and happy. And although we haven’t dined in yet, the restaurant side atmosphere is great. You won’t be disappointed.”
“Ravinder the owner was a lovely guy. Very hospitable and friendly . Food was good . Best Indian I’ve had in NZ so far whilst on my travels .”
“The freshest and best sushi to go, in the area.”
“I had an unforgettable experience at this sushi restaurant! The sushi was incredibly fresh and delicious—each bite was a burst of flavor and beautifully presented. What truly set this place apart, though, was the staff. Every member of the team was exceptionally kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and taken care of throughout our meal. It’s rare to find such a perfect combination of outstanding food and warm, friendly service.”
“Such delicious Sushi. Staff are friendly and always happy to make fresh sushi to order. So good. Massey is lucky to have such a good sushi option.”
“Came her by myself and just had to bring my partner back the next day. The service is lovely, food is great and the atmosphere is warm and calm. This is going to be a regular for us from now on. Thankyou!”
“Outstanding food taste! And a good potion. I asked my son, would you like to come back next time. YES!”
“OMG! So delicious and the portions are huge. I like bamboo shoots and jellyfish dishes.”
“One of the most tasty dishes I’ve ever eaten. Five spice beef is one of my definite favorites and highly recommend, it’s along a very convenient location in Queen Street and nearby a lot of shops, restaurants, and accommodations too. Service is impeccable! Would eat here again when I come back to Auckland.”
“Always kind friendly service and carefully prepared quality food. Prefer this restaurant over other St Pierre's. I come regularly for lunch and like the katsu rice ball and sashimi.”
“Nice and friendly staff. Kids menu available as well. Delicious Indian Cuisine. Highly recommended for the whole family. Plenty of carpark. Namaste :)”
“My family, partner and I visited Paper Moon last night (with a reservation) and we were given the honour of being served by Lucy. Lucy was a great server, she was friendly and didn't talk as if she was reading off a script. We'd all 100% go back just to be served by her. She also recommended that we moved tables as the table we were on previously was tiny for the 4 of us. Not long after switching tables (roughly 5-10 minutes) the table was properly sanitized and cleaned by another server. So cleanliness was a 10/10! Onto the food, we got the Grazing Board appetizer to start and there was such a wide variety of samplers and everything was extremely well made, tender and flavourful. Great starter; 9/10. But along with the appetizer we ordered, I got a chocolate milkshake. I had my expectations high, maybe a bit too high. To everyone it just tasted like milk with a very VERY slight hint of chocolate. 5/10; you're better off with a soda or water. My partner ordered the Scotch Fillet and they loved it, though I felt as though it was too charred on the top. Overpowering the taste of the steak. But the steak fries that came with it were perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Overall; 8/10. My mum ordered the Grilled Salmon with Risotto, the salmon completely melted in your mouth, vegetables were perfectly cooked, not too hard, not too soft. This would make a perfect 10/10 dish, but I think the risotto was a bit too salty. Which kind of made anything that was touching it have a distinct saltiness taste. I'd give this another 8/10. My pop ordered the Beef Wellington, which we were told would take 30 minutes, but it came out with almost everything else. Everything tasted amazing. From the pastry down to the sauce. The beef was perfectly rendered and the pastry had a small amount of cheese separating it from the pâté. Even the mushrooms in it were extraordinaire. The only complaint he had with it was that it was a bit too small, but I give it a 9/10. And finally, I ordered the Salt & Pepper Squid Salad. Which at the time I was surprised that it took the longest, everyone's food had already come out and it took maybe an extra 5 minutes. I didn't expect much from a salad but when it came out I understood why it took longer. This was by far the best and biggest salad I have ever seen and ordered. We also thought the squid was going to be small cuts of squid but it ended up being multiple big tender-sized chunks of squid that were perfectly tender and fell apart in your mouth. The salad itself was a bit flavourless but if you incorporate the sauce/dressing that's given with it, it becomes a whole lot better. This, in my opinion was the best dish of the night. 10/10. Now, onto dessert! When we were thinking of what to order we had asked Lucy how big the desserts usually are and instead of her telling us some fancy wording on why it's small, she told us straight up, which we loved. We ordered the Tiramisu and the New York Cheesecake, both were quite small but it was a good portion for the 4 of us considering we were all full from our mains. The Tiramisu wasn't the best I've had, but it was definitely a sight for sore eyes. Looking at it I felt like I had travelled to Italy! The mascarpone was pretty good but the lady fingers were too hard and crunchy. It was as if I was eating a scotch finger. I give it a 7/10. And as for the New York Cheesecake, it was amazing. It was moist, flavourful and the base was a perfect texture and consistency. Though it was a bit too flavourful. The berry and passionfruit compote was very overpowering. If you put them together all you can taste is the passionfruit, but if you try it separately it just becomes too much, so try the cheesecake with a small pinch of the compote. Overall I give it an 8.5/10. We just want to give a big thank you to Lucy for an unforgettable night and we will definitely come back just for you! This is a great place for a family dinner, a date night or just drinks with your mates. Come give this place a try! (All pictures hopefully in the same order)”
“Beautiful home cooked food and also has a restaurant menu. Top country-side café that I've been to. Coming here very day while I'm working in Waitoki”
“Fantastic service from Junil and Deepat. Food very well prepared and presented. Nice open space, atmosphere and decor and the food was amazing. Well done to the staff and chefs.”
“It was my first time visiting with my family, and we had such a great experience. The 小笼包 dumplings were delicious, and I also loved the 葱油拌面 noodles. It's a popular spot, so the line moves quickly, but the place is always clean and the staff is really friendly.”
“Authentic food, excellent decor, and great service. Sunny Town makes their dumplings fresh and in the open where you can observe. They also have an open kitchen. The food is delicious, with the perfect mix of spices. Definitely order the steamed dumpling, pork or vegetables as both are yummy. The spicy dumplings are not for everyone, but our daughter loved them. We loved the bamboo interior with comfortable seats. The service is prompt and friendly.”
“I've been coming here for years now, I compare them to everyone else's every time I get buns or curry, nothing compares, pinati's is still the best in New Zealand by far!”
“Great food, felt like I was back in the Middle East. Loads of food in a eat all you can buffet.for $30. Food was fresh and tasty, was very busy but they squeezed us in on a Saturday night. It's an eat and go type place, you godforsaken the food rather than the atmosphere. Would recommend for those who love Lebanese.”
“I popped in this morning while waiting for my car to be serviced down the road - staff uber-fine with me buying a coffee and setting up my laptop for a couple hours to get some study done - the blackboard menu won me over for a toastie as well - 5/5 so far as toasties go. Overall just a nice semi-rural down-to-earth welcoming vibe and I now have a cafe to visit whenever I'm in Waimauku with time to stop by.”
“Their pizzas are always fresh, loaded with toppings, and full of bold flavour.”
