   The Spice Rack is my favourite Indian restaurant. The food is delicious, and the chef will provide dishes with nuances of heat, which has been fantastic when I want something between mild and medium. Service has always been friendly and helpful, and attentive without intrusion. It's great for vegetarians and vegans, it has a quiet vibe and it is impeccably clean. Try the Bagharey Baingan on the chef's specials menu. This restaurant deserves to be more well known.

   I recently visited Spice Rack in Albany, and it was an amazing experience! The food was full of flavour, perfectly cooked, and tasted authentically Indian. Every dish had just the right amount of spice without being overpowering. The staff were super friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The service was quick, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming — great for both dine-in and takeaway. Their biryani and butter chicken were absolute highlights, and the naan was soft and fresh. Prices are also very reasonable for the quality. Definitely one of the best Indian restaurants on the North Shore. Highly recommended!

   I cannot recommend this place enough. The food is consistently amazing, the curries look and taste insane, you can tell the chef puts effort in. The atmosphere is lovely too, the tables and chairs are so pretty and unique, and there’s always calming music playing. The staff are always super friendly and kind. I can’t wait to go back!

   Unfortunately I ordered chicken Jalfeze it said on menu capsicum, onion and tomatoes . It came with frozen peas, carrot and corn! Was so discussing. Never have I had frozen vegetables in an Indian curry before. My husbands butter chicken was very average as well. Will not be dinning in or getting takeaway again. Sorry spice rack. Used to be great restaurant.

   We had our dine in today and it is so far the best Indian cuisine we have ever tried. Friendly customer service, curry is not that salty and can taste the spices with the chicken also super tender. Great And unique experience for the taste of Indian culture.

   The taste that's very close to our local food in India. So far we tried thier chicken pan fried rice, Indo Chinese chilly chicken and paneer Tikka. So good that it made us go back to our old days of tasty authentic Indian food. It's a very decently busy place and there is a good number of regular customers and heaps of take away orders. If you like Indian hot, ask for hot dishes. You will never regret. Now it's one of our go to places in Albany for dinner. It's best to book in for tables if it's during weekend and also let them know if you don't want to wait for food. They will give you amble time to talk and then serve food as that's the kiwi culture. Try it and enjoy it. thanks
