“I cannot thank the team at Vetcare Greytown enough! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! My beautiful golden retriever girl was battling the itchy’s to the point of losing her gorgeous locks of gold. She was not at all an itchy allergy pup so we couldn’t understand why this had started. She really was miserable. Heidi and team have truly transformed my girl into the bubbly, bright fluffy retriever I know and adore. I will not ever go anywhere else!!!”
“The level of professionalism along with the genuine compassion for animal care are amongst the highest I have experienced in my 12 years of having dogs. I could not recommend this place enough. Helen at Rappaw Titahi bay saw my dog promptly after receiving my distressed email about the increasing frequency his back end was collapsing on him. We have been seeing Helen on a fortnightly basis over the past year. Helen is a wonderful hydrotherapist as well as an extremely knowledgeable animal physiotherapist. Helen also explains what exercises we can be doing at home which are beneficial for helping our dog to maintain strength and stability for longevity which makes us feel like there are things we can do to help the dog in between sessions or in place of a session. Our dog has now been seeing Helen for over a year and we have witnessed the progress our boy has been doing. He has gone from collapsing and stumbling to maintaining himself and being able to manage his short walks better than he started out a year ago, despite being a year older from building up strength with the hydrotherapy.”
“Thank you for doing a great job it's sad not all vet services in New Zealand know what customer service means.”
“The staff at Kaiwharawhara vetcare are amazing. They always go above and beyond to ensure our animals are happy and looked after- from squeezing us in last minute appointments for our cat or really taking the time to understand the needs of our nervous dog. We wouldn’t go anywhere else.”
“The team are amazing both with animals and humans. The support we have had during our adoption process and afterwards is second to none.”
“When my 9 month old Huntaway needed surgery, I realised Massey wouldn't be cheap, but surprisingly it wasn't as expensive as I thought and I discovered they are the best, great people, great support and great result.”
“Amazing Team!!! This was our first visit to Anderson’s Vets and I won’t be going anywhere else. Malcom and his team made us feel welcomed and genuinely cared about my very sick baby. He is now recovering well after all their love and care. I’m so grateful he was in safe and loving hands. Highly recommend. Thank you from Sherman & our family ♥️”
“Great vets. Always provide top notch care and good advice. Good availability too and very handy for city based clients.”
“On Monday 22 September 2025, the team at the Animal Medical Centre worked for over 3 hours to remove LFC - liquid filling concrete - from the paws and other places of my cat Morgan La Fay. When Morgan got home and had recovered from sedation, she was completely back to normal. How Morgan came to walk through LFC is a long story which I will not recount. I do need to say 2 things, though, to make clear what a miracle the team achieved. The first is that, by the time I got her to the vet on Monday afternoon, the LFC had been on her paws and other places for 24 hours. She sounded like a ballet dancer en pointe when she walked around and kept hitting her ear with her back paw when trying to scratch it. The second is that Morgan is a cat with a very definite list of "nots" - do not walk towards me, do not pick me up, do not put me in a cage, do not leave me with strangers, do not touch my paws ... and on it goes. I knew she would have to be in a crush cage and I knew that even crush cages have their limits. The AMC team got all the hard-baked concrete off Morgan and left her with no ill-effects. That truly was a magnificent piece of work. I cannot speak highly enough of their ingenuity, patience, dedication, and veterinary knowledge and I am deeply grateful to them all. Thank you again to everyone who helped.”
“I had to say goodbye to my best friend the Bali dog Sat June 13th only 5ys a gentle giant, as most knew him. His love unconditional, the support over the last few weeks from Central Vets also unconditional just great amazing thanks very much.”
“Have been with Pet Doctor Thorndon for six years. My cat Hansel has been well looked after by the professional team. Especially recently with the preparation for his exporting permit, the team at Pet Doctor Thorndon has made a complicated process being handled much more easier and smoother. This has been a great relief for me. Highly recommend this wonderful clinic to all furry friends’ families in Wellington.”
“Everyone at Kelburn Vets have been fantastic and have taken great care of my 2 young cats, who have made a neighbourhood enemy resulting in infected cat bites (one particularly bad). The team always get us seen really quickly and were able to perform 2 surgeries as soon as they were needed. I’m very grateful for such fantastic service and support.”
“They are the best and most caring veterinarians we have ever had. Thank you for looking after us!”
“Such a wonderful service that I have recommended to so many friends. So nice it’s not just feeding my cat they stay for 20mins to give her lots of pats and play with her… a bit of human contact while I’m away. And the photos with a daily update is such a lovely touch. I always know my kitty is in good hands. Thank you so much for providing this lovely caring service.”
“Billy miniature schnauzer loves coming here as he is treated like a celebrity whether for grooming, vaccinations or checkups. Staff are wonderful so know he is given the best of care. Wouldn't go anywhere else.”
“After an number of years of attending CareVets Kapiti, the staff are still as kind kind-hearted and attentive as the first time we visited the clinic. Thank you so much!”
“Amazing service from Marion who really is great with cats. We had to go on a European tour for 6 weeks and both our cats where looked after and we got weekly updates on their progress would recommend 100%”
“Always kind and caring. Explained everything well, and helped get our cat on the mend. They are very understanding and supportive—especially given our cat isn’t the most friendly critter. Thank you to the whole Vet Smart Plimmerton team.”
“Excellent staff and affordable pricing, good communication and usually able to get appointments promptly. The staff at Carevets Kilbirnie showed such kindness and compassion when I had to make the decision to put my cat down, and made a really difficult time a lot easier. Highly recommend.”
“All animal needs. Friendly staff. Excellent facilities. Spotlessly clean. Well run”
“We have had so many positive experiences with Valley Cottage Vets for our two cats (who can both be quite high maintenance and complicated). Really glad we moved here after stressful vet visits in other clinics. Alix has the kindest nature towards animals and the whole team goes above and beyond. Thank you!”
“Very friendly staff And very kind to all of my pets. And very accommendating to me paying my vet bill. As im on a benefit. They have always been there for me. I had to put my beautiful little dog down on the 6th of December last year. It was a very emotional time for me at my little dog with my mum's dog as well and she put my mum passed away on the 24th of November 2011 and I nearly lost my little dog . Floey. She was a very loyal little dog and I love her very much and I find it hard to be without her.”
“I have been so lucky to have the team at Upper Hutt Vets looking after both my dog Shade and myself. Shade has had a number of health issues since I got him and he’s had to have multiple surgeries and trips to Massey. The team at Upper Hutt Vets has always been so caring and so devoted to looking after Shade and doing the absolute best thing for him. Even when he’s been at Massey I have had calls from the vets and from the vet nurses checking in and following up with me to see how things are going. Shade can be a little be anxious when it comes to being handled by anyone that’s not me. The team have worked really hard to get Shade comfortable and have been so accommodating in figuring out the best way to treat Shade without conflict. I feel so lucky and grateful that we found such amazing caring people to help us through incredibly difficult times.”
“The PetVet team were excellent and helpful when my cat was unwell and could not get her in anywhere over the long weekend. The Vet Nurse on the phone helped chat me through the issue and provided me with excellent advice until I could get in with a vet. Dr Amos Manktelow, the vet we saw was fantastic, he was very kind and friendly and great with my shy cat. Thanks team!”
“Awesome Vet, very understanding and friendly, definitely the best my dog has been. Highly recommend to all.”
“Indie and I were greeted with warm smiles when we walked in. The staff were helpful, kind and patient with myself and Indie. They allowed us to spend some time to settle into the service room first, before seeing the nurse, to help with Indie’s nerves. Thanks team - see you again soon!”
“I took my two chihuahuas here today to get their nails clipped and I also brought them a dog harness each. I was served by the lovely Kimberly who helped me with fitting the harnesses and also with carrying one of them out to my car( I’m currently injured with a back problem). Really appreciated your help Kimberly and also the nice guy who clipped their nails. I will be back. Great shop with helpful staff.”
