   Upper Hutt Vets is my go to clinic. The staff are wonderful and have helped though the life journey with all my animals (for the last 15 years). It may have changed hands over this time, but the quality and care hasn't. They went above and beyond this year with my very nervous dog (and me) going through the neutering process for the first time, allowing me to stay while they started the sedation medication so I could comfort him. They were also fantastic a couple years back when an emergency vet visit for one of my animals ended up as a farewell visit. My husband was at work and they offered their second consult room until he arrived, then gave us as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes. I'm sure it stuffed up their appointments for the day however none of that showed while they checked in on me. These things show me the level of care and compassion the staff has and I thank you for making hard times easier.

   I have been so lucky to have the team at Upper Hutt Vets looking after both my dog Shade and myself. Shade has had a number of health issues since I got him and he’s had to have multiple surgeries and trips to Massey. The team at Upper Hutt Vets has always been so caring and so devoted to looking after Shade and doing the absolute best thing for him. Even when he’s been at Massey I have had calls from the vets and from the vet nurses checking in and following up with me to see how things are going. Shade can be a little be anxious when it comes to being handled by anyone that’s not me. The team have worked really hard to get Shade comfortable and have been so accommodating in figuring out the best way to treat Shade without conflict. I feel so lucky and grateful that we found such amazing caring people to help us through incredibly difficult times.

   Not only is this our vet, but we board our her here as well. She is a very timid cat, but the nurses go and give her cuddles, one even bought in a wee stuffed toy lamb for her to sleep with, so sweet. They are great Vets who really care about our fur babies.

   Excellent service from nurses to vets, all of whom displayed good knowledge of our dog's health and well being from the first visit. Not too pushy with expensive care options and treatment will come with a full write up, including before/after photos. Discharge parts were very helpful, and a refund was sorted when the vet changed the prescribed medication. There's also an excellent range of animal products, and a tank full of turtles to keep anxious masters occupied. Go here to get your animal the best care.
