He does an amazing job and has a great ability to adapt to his guests, making the whole experience feel very personal and relaxed. On our private tour, Tom showed us all the important Lord of the Rings filming locations in and around Wellington, sharing interesting background information and stories along the way. We felt comfortable throughout the entire drive, and all the conversations with Tom were genuinely fun and enjoyable. A particularly lovely touch was that Tom also took photos of us. When traveling as a couple, you often end up with less-than-ideal selfies, so it meant a lot to us to come home with beautiful photos where we are actually both in them. These pictures are now wonderful memories of an already perfect day. All in all, it was an unforgettable experience full of amazing locations, great vibes, and Middle-earth magic. “When they say "Personalised," they mean it! We had an absolutely amazing day with Capital Personalised Tours! We chose "Private Martinborough Wine Full Day Tour From Wellington" because our family loves wine, but also because, although we love the Lord of the Rings, my mother has some mobility challenges that can make set tours difficult. However, after our driver, Andrew, met us at the cruise port and learned of our love of all things Tolkien, in addition to the wonderful wine tastings and lunch, he surprised us by taking us to some of the different movie set sights that mom could navigate. He stopped by the Helm's Deep quarry, the Isengard gardens, and we even walked through "Rivendell!" Lunch at Poppies was absolutely AMAZING and we had a wonderful time tasting and exploring the wines of New Zealand. (I'm now a fan of Chardonnay, which I never thought possible.) I just want to say that I can't thank Andrew and John enough for the wonderful experience they provided! We got to see and do things that simply wouldn't be possible with any other tour!”

“We had the absolute best tour of Wellington with Suzee! In reflecting on our day, it’s hard to believe how much we packed in, yet how unhurried and peaceful the day felt. Suzee poured a lot of time, thought and preparation (including an introductory/planning call well ahead of our trip!) into our day - so the result was well paced, tailored-to-our-interests and thorough tour.
