“The Main hall is huge! Plenty of tables and chairs. Excellent oven. Fridge was a good size to store food and drinks. Great bar area to set up kitchen stuff and prep food. You need to bring your own utensils, kitchen stuff and dish washing needs. There's no dish washer so it's best to use paper plates and cups as well as serving bowls that you can just chuck out. Thank god the Rubbish bags and bin were supplied. If you have 100 guests or under? It's best to hire the adjoining hall as the main hall is really huge. The Caretaker David was awesome to deal with, real good sort. You have to meet him at the hall to open as they don't give you keys, which is great..one less thing to worry about. Just make sure you have a sign saying private function on the entrance doors because it's on the main road and people walk in thinking there's housie or come to use the toilets lol but overall experience was excellent. Shops across the road and Chinese takeaway incase you need extras. Over all experience..Excellent!”

“Millar and Mary absolutely stand out women. I felt I was quite demanding as we arrived, and we had a few issues while there. Nothing but accommodating. I also noted an issue with our lane company, which was promptly fixed. My husband and I hadn't been on a date in a long time. This place made me want to go again. The staff should be highly recommended on their performance. Incredible! We'll be back when the beers are allowed to flow again!”

If you want cheap cards then yes The Warehouse or the $2 shop are cheaper but if you want something special or that looks like you have put in that extra bit of thought then this is the place. Also acts as a post shop. Cute kids stuff, books, gifts and calendars as well.”

“Great location, the were able to accommodate all 30 of us, and the space worked really well for 13 kids in our group! Everyone enjoyed the food, my wife and I went for the schnitzel which was a decent size, and came paired with really nice coleslaw salad an sauce. I had the chance my son's fried chicken which was delicious! there was a lot going on for a Sunday, as they had salsa dancing and the music was LOUD! we didn't mind, but some in our group made a comment as they couldn't hear each other. I'd say it's a great place with very nice atmosphere, and they have great food and fantastic service, will definitely come again.”

“Copy and pasted this review we sent in to customer service over the weekend. I had an exceptional experience at your store, Queengate in Lower Hutt receiving 5-star treatment that truly made my day. The till operator and the wonderful lady by the changing rooms were absolutely fantastic, providing outstanding service. Their friendliness and attentiveness were remarkable and I can't thank them enough for making my shopping experience so special. Not only did I find a great deal on a suit for just $299, but the exceptional service I received made the purchase even more memorable. branch 4044, till 14, date 02/08/25, time 11:27”

Atmosphere was pretty chill when i went down but they do usually always have something going on weather it be a band or karaoke etc. Food was on point I had the ribeye steak with all the sides, staff were lovely. Wheelchair accessible kid friendly, they have a small timezone area out in the atrium. Be AWARE you need to be a member or with a member to drink alcohol there but anybody from the public can eat food there. Always a great go to when I need a steak meal”

“Awesome place for the price. It really is incredible value for money. It cost us $15 per person for the entire night. 4 hours of fun in an arcade with free games and unlimited laser tag. If you can find 4 hours of entertainment for less than $15 per person in Wellington, good luck to you. There were 7 of us in total and we all had a great time. We had more than 10 games of laser tag while there. The place was packed and from what I could see everyone was having a good time. They offer food and drinks here which are very reasonably priced. The staff here are excellent. Friendly and helpful, they were great when it came to helping with laser tag gear in the fritz and very professional in the face of large numbers of people. Great work. A few machines were out of order around the arcade and on the surface it seems a little bit run down but with the volume of people coming through the door it is almost to be expected. Don't let that stop you though. There is a ton of fun to be had here and we can't wait to go back. Just to give you an example, we spent at least an hour in the arcade and still didn't play all the games. While some were out of order there was ample choice for all of our tastes and plenty of machines available even with the high volume of people.”

“Lovely wee park with a big history. This is the site of Broadcasting House, and although plans were already under way to have it demolished the building was destroyed by fire in September 1997 after 235 Radio New Zealand staff had moved to new premises in The Terrace in July 1997. Grand schemes to build a government "palace" on the site, or to shift the Beehive there, eventually fizzled and today the space is a sculpture park.”
