“Ironically very grassy. Wonderful playground. River sounds nice and is clear (!)”
“Excellent facility in Karori. New Circuit style sessions on Tuesdays and a Pump class midweek evenings and again on a saturday - Instructors are friendly, focussed. Worth booking in at the Rec for.”
“A lovely little community centre with equipment to host small theatre activities. Has an well appointed kitchen work space and is the perfect size for hosting about 30-50 people.”
“Had an amazing evening celebrating my mother's 60th birthday last month. The manager is welcoming and easy to communicate with. The venue is perfect if you live or work in the Eastern suburbs. Hiring is most affordable and there's an option to cater your own. The staff are very helpful and made our night so much easier. A big thank you to Megan for looking after us. You are a rockstar!!”
“Did the Meerkat Close Encounter and was incredible. Such an interactive experience with very knowledgeable keepers. A great zoo to support which contributes to conservation efforts and animal well-being.”
“A lovely place where you can find out all about what is happening in the community, take exercise classes or whatever your hobbies are. In the centre of town.”
“It doesn't matter how many times you go here, it never gets old. The roses are gorgeous, and the plants are so well cared for. I wish I could live in the begonia house!”
“Super friendly. I did the Saturday shop ride and experienced some trouble with my back brakes. The shop was very helpful and friendly and sorted my issue out super efficiently. Was a lekker vibe and good coffee.”
“Great local spot for a beer and some pub grub. Good swimming for the kids too. Ripper sunsets.”
“Best park in upperhutt. Lots of fun with kids and family. Picnic ground ,barbecue and playground everything in one place.”
“Wonderful space with 2 exhibitions on the ground floor. Entry by donation. The receptionist was very helpful, telling us the rules of entry and provided a brochure with information on the exhibits. Photos were allowed in the Pop Garden light show, but not in the portrait section. A small shop had some reasonably priced items for locals and tourists. The cafe was extremely busy.”
“Wonderful sports grounds and facilities at the Ricoh Centre also.”
“Excellent place for a walk, sit in the sun, a picnic or give the kids fresh air and a good play in the play ground.”
“One of my favourite Lower Hutt beaches, a long sandy waterfront. There is a concrete path and low concrete wall between the free street side car parking off the roadway. There is a small short sand dune which is where birds nest and there are bunny tails and other plants growing along there.”
“Few cities are fortunate enough to have a theatre and company of this high calibre. Constellations is a superbly crafted piece of theatre demanding the very finest of acting skills and Hutt Reps production delivered in spades. Renowned for its wonderful sets dedication to craft and authenticity the theatre’s recent enhancements with new seating and lighting rig add to what is already a high bar. Beautifully directed with great thought given to the demands on the actors in this two hander. Transitions were completely seamless and flowed naturally from one scene to the next. The real star of this show was the superb sound and light design. With bone rattling accuracy we were moved in our seats by the use of some rather large, I believe 18” sub woofers secreted beneath the audience dais. The teamwork required to create such a slick production through movement, dialogue, sound and lighting was outrageously good.”
“Great area in front of the beach especially when summer time! There are football area, bbq area (but the bbq grill didn’t work when we are there), toilet area behind the cafe (not too clean but still useable), cafe is nice with various choices of food, ice cream and milkshake. There is small pond with lot of ducks, don’t feed them bread please. We saw tracking area, maybe someday will back to try the track.”
“Visited the Cafe and exhibitions today. The Cafe food and coffee was top quality, and the exhibition spaces are well set out. The art works were suitably challenging, made us think and ponder, which good art should do! Highly recommend a visit.”
“Really delivered with this 2001 IMAX experience. On the bigger side of imax screens and even tho it's only 4k the clarity was still really good (If your wondering how large placing your phone to your nose is about how big it is) Sound setup was truly amazing too as well as the seating, pay that extra for the reclining bring in a blanket and I'd pass out on those chairs. And portions here are crazy jumbo drink is 1L and the popcorn is like a 3-4L bucket completely filled got through like a quarter. If anyone is thinking about outside food, they aren't that strict about it here which is something I like I've never had issues bringing in some whittakers, box of magnums etc. as long as the packaging isn't loud and you buy at least something at the bar they are pretty chill.”
“Watched my son's football game at Endeavour Park. There had been rain the previous day, the drainage on the grounds was really good, so grounds were not muddy and easy to walk on. Excellent park. Club rooms were open but we didn't visit there.”
“Had son's birthday here & the 2 ladies there were amazing!!!! Very friendly, cool to chat to. Kids had a blast! So did us adults. Full of laughs and fun times! Recommend to all!!”
“It was a perfect day out spending time with our mokopuna. We are pretty competitive with just a point between the 3 of us.”
“The greatest workout area in Wellington, on Sundays there's a huge group that shows up, and the ambient is fantastic. Great energy and great people, strong as hell and with amazing calisthenics trikcs”
“My grandchildren loves it here. Beautiful open corner park to play at, fresh air and sunshine on a good Welly day. The safety mats provides some safety assurance for those awkward landings or for the more adventurous. The park facilities maybe modest but it's enough to entertain the bored or tire that hypo child. And what are the odds, it's a few steps away from the Jville public kids pool.”
“With the new works nearly done place is looking great”
“Good deck. 129 runs (17 x 4’s; 5 x 6’s) - 2012”
“This place is one of the incredible places in Wellington. Most likely this is part of the waterfront. If you visit the Wellington waterfront harbor, you will find this beautiful park and kids playground. Totally free of charge. Kids can experience adventure and fun at the same time. Highly recommended place.”
“My friends baby Bernice & I, go to Baby Jam. We made new friends & enjoy our time there every Tuesday. Yayyyy Warm place & they have a lot of cool stuff for the babies. From small ball pits, toys, safety is well checked, swings n slides & more.”
“Not bad, Ramps are a bit steep but big half pipe is well. Very slippery rails”
“Excellent park for children to enjoy while adults can relax on the beach”
“I don’t typically enjoy stepping foot inside a Hallensteins store as I find it is often filed with grubby teen lads, and I often don’t find clothing I would like to wear. However, I was more than impressed by the Lambton quay hallensteins. Particular note must be made of the lighting quality in the changing rooms. Doubled my shop time by simply staring at myself in the mirror. Copped 2 very nice t-shirts as well for a handy 2 for $50 deal! TLDR: worth going just to admire yourself in the changing rooms mirrors”
