“We stumbled upon a cool little bar slightly off Courtenay Place in Wellington and ended up having such a fun night. We were drawn in because we heard some really good filler songs playing—these were the tracks they had on between the karaoke performances. We went in around 9 o’clock when karaoke was already going, and within an hour or two the place really came to life. It was such an amazing vibe with great music, a fun crowd, and plenty of energy. Definitely a memorable night out that happened by chance and turned into something awesome.”

“Was in on a Tuesday for dinner. Atmosphere was awesome as it was quiz night. Managed to find a good table. Staff were great, quick and attentive service. Had the Fish Special “Hake” and dam it was tasty.”

“We used the function area for a 21st recently.The service and food were outstanding. Staff were very responsive and keen to make our evening as enjoyable as possible. Communication was excellent and the food platters were huge and extremely good value for money. Highly recommended and would hold another event here in the future.”

“My aunty and her sisters came here for dinner last night. She asked me to write a review bc she's not on Social Media. It was quiet but my aunt liked that bc they could chat. The lady who served us was lovely. She always let us know what was happening w our food. Loved her service! The kai was "smashing" so one of my aunts said. That one had the burger chicken. My aunt, Luana, thought the caramized steak was beautiful, she almost licked the plate and the salad was crispy and delicious. We were so full, we brought our puddings home. We had chocolate ice cream parfait w golden kiwi. Beautiful! We will definitely be back again, compliments to the chef and the lovely waitress!”

“Great location, the were able to accommodate all 30 of us, and the space worked really well for 13 kids in our group! Everyone enjoyed the food, my wife and I went for the schnitzel which was a decent size, and came paired with really nice coleslaw salad an sauce. I had the chance my son's fried chicken which was delicious! there was a lot going on for a Sunday, as they had salsa dancing and the music was LOUD! we didn't mind, but some in our group made a comment as they couldn't hear each other. I'd say it's a great place with very nice atmosphere, and they have great food and fantastic service, will definitely come again.”

“Great rooftop bar on Lambton Quay (upstairs) We went for lunch, sat out on the balcony and ordered the Korean fried chicken, skin on fries and club sandwiches. The service was fast and friendly, the food was delicious and the balcony had a great view of Lambton Quay.”

“We had a function at Flamingo Joe's and it was really excellent. Nice food (set menu), very reasonably priced and great service. They accommodated all dietary needs and were super flexible. It's a fun venue with a lot of atmosphere - we booked out the restaurant space which was perfect for our needs. Highly recommend for any functions at all, both in terms of value for money and for a good night out on the waterfront.”

We both had burgers as part of the burger night deal and they were so delcious. We also had the arichini as a starter and couldn't fault it. Thanks for a lovely night team! “We booked for our daughter’s birthday dinner with a group of 9 and nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely table with a fantastic view of the water and the staff even offered to keep our cake in the chiller until after our meal. The food was delicious and the portions were more than adequate with everyone stuffed at the end. We ordered the bao buns which had a lovely little chilli kick to them, and Korean fried chicken was an absolute favourite as was the pita with roast pepper hummus which was so delicious. We were even able to take leftovers home with us which was an added bonus! Can’t wait to come back.”

I was only visiting for a drink but the bar staff proactively pointed out the happy hour which was lovely. There’s a great atmosphere with the music and prices are reasonable too - one of the best bars on the street for me!”

“As tourists visiting this was the most friendly bar in NZ. The locals were welcoming and kind and at the end of the night there is a courtesy van that takes you back to where you are staying driven by the most lovely man!! Absolutely recommend this pub for a fabulous night!”
