We had a lovely birthday meal at Coenes, the staff were incredible friendly and even brought the dessert out with candles in it for my partner. The food was delicious, I heavily recommend the venison carpaccio it was incredibly tasty and well balanced. Top marks, highly recommend!
Unfortunately the burger didn’t live up to its description! -So the burger was the CUMIN CUPID - Juicy lamb brings the warmth, paired with tangy chilli jam, smoky cumin cheddar, and cooling dukkah yoghurt for the perfect hit of heat and heart. Finished with crisp onion rings and a refreshing cucumber & fennel salad. It was poorly executed, a real disappointment. Couldn’t taste the salad or onion rings. Bun was a bit dry and spongey. Food 4/10 everything else 7/10. Food advice: Food doesn’t need to be overloaded with salt.
We rocked up a little late but great service (with a smile) greeted us. Wonderful atmosphere and warm on this windy winters night. Bottle of Cloudy Bay sauvignon blanc topped it off.
The burger special was excellent, the seafood chowder was great and it is a very deceptive dish. It doesn't look like much, but it is very filling.
Love this cafe!! The best cafe outlook over the harbour! Inside is awesome decor and very comfortable. On a summers day there is a balcony you can sit outside. Last time we went the tables outside were a bit rickerty but still comfortable and loved having a cup of coffee in the morning ☀️
Loved this yacht club ⛵ Drink choices for the happy hours were very limited. Food was lovely and so was the service and the gorgeous views. Loved the seating arrangements - booths, tables, outside etc. Very comfortable surroundings, not too badly priced
Great service. Fairly generous portions. One of the best place to admire the harbour when enjoying a nice wine, or a cocktail, or a beer with some great dishes from the menu.
The view & atmosphere were great. Our waitress did everything in her power to make us feel so welcomed. I'm visiting here from Texas, and I'd definitely recommend anyone to try out this location. As the food was very tasty.
