“Grade 5 whitewater rafting sounds scary enough for a non-confident swimmer, but Kaitiaki Adventures' guides know what they are doing. All gear were provided for. Sam, our guide, made sure all of us were safe and had a lot of fun. The guides took time to teach us how to be respectful of nature. The power of the water and the nature surrounding the river was humbling and breathtaking (give and take a few mouthfuls of water). There are photographers all along the river, taking shots of the different moments. A proud achivement to not just have survived a Grade 5 whitewater rafting, but to have done it with all smiles around and have an exciting adventure that we would continue to talk about. We had FUN!”

It used to be Leisure Island with a pool, games, rides, etc. but has been recognised as being a special place so is now free of that stuff and more formally called Moturiki. The views back to The Mount (Mauao) and the beach are amazing, especially on a sunny day.”
