   We recently did a 15,000-foot tandem skydive with Skydive Tauranga to celebrate 15 years of marriage, and it was one of the most surreal and exhilarating experiences we’ve ever had. From the start, the instructors were vibrant, calm, and genuinely supportive. They checked in on our emotional state multiple times, explained everything clearly, and somehow made something very nerve-wracking feel fun and manageable. The safety briefing and gear-up process were efficient and reassuring, which really helped settle the nerves. Because it was just my husband and me (they only take two tandem customers per plane, plus instructors), we actually had the entire flight, drop and jump to ourselves, which made the experience feel incredibly personal and special — especially for an anniversary jump. The jump itself was incredible. I was nervous stepping out of the plane but also determined — and the freefall was an absolute rush. Once the parachute opened, everything shifted into a peaceful, gentle float back to earth, giving you time to breathe it all in. The moment my feet hit the ground, I honestly wanted to get back on the plane and do it again. The good: • Exceptionally supportive and professional instructors • Clear communication and strong focus on safety • Small groups make it feel personal, not rushed • Perfect balance of adrenaline and calm • Beautiful views during the canopy ride The “just OK”: • There can be a bit of waiting depending on the day, but we arrived early and the crew got us geared up and ready to go straight away • It’s a premium experience, but for a milestone like this, it felt completely worth it Tips for first-timers: • Trust the instructors — they really know how to read your nerves • Breathe during freefall (sounds obvious, but it helps!) • Definitely get the photo & video package — reliving it afterward is half the joy • Eat light beforehand and wear comfortable clothes We felt completely safe the entire time and are so glad we did this together. If you’re on the fence — especially for a special occasion — do it. You won’t regret it

   Their are no words to describe it I knew it was was going to be good But #$&# me it's the best experience ever The whole team are fantastic If there was 10 stars on offer l tick 20 Must do,no better felling than jumping out a perfectly good fling plane and hurtling over 200 kph to the ground I wanna go again

   My first jump, and definitely not my last!! What a ripper of a day we had for my flight, spectacular views of the wider area and coastline. The instructors were super friendly which was reassuring. Definitely one of the best things I've done to date, an absolute blast. I'd go again in a heartbeat! Highly recommend investing in the 360 vid/photo package if it's your first time. Super stoked with my highlights vid and all the pics (I got an almost 4 minute video and 184 photos!)

   Bought this as a Birthday surprise for my wife. The guys there were super helpful right from the start, esp Tristan. As soon as we entered the building they made my wife feel right at ease (ps. loved the music playing in the background - reminded me of being back in the Caribbean). Amanda absolutely loved the experience. If anyone is thinking of ticking off this as one of their 'bucket-list' things, then I'd highly recommend Tauranga Skydiving. AAAAA+++++
