   Incredible experience being guided up Mt Tarawera. Such a beautiful maunga with very important history. So much fun running down the scree into the crater. Our guides Tai and Hux were awesome and super knowledgeable. Thank you!

   Grade 5 whitewater rafting sounds scary enough for a non-confident swimmer, but Kaitiaki Adventures' guides know what they are doing. All gear were provided for. Sam, our guide, made sure all of us were safe and had a lot of fun. The guides took time to teach us how to be respectful of nature. The power of the water and the nature surrounding the river was humbling and breathtaking (give and take a few mouthfuls of water). There are photographers all along the river, taking shots of the different moments. A proud achivement to not just have survived a Grade 5 whitewater rafting, but to have done it with all smiles around and have an exciting adventure that we would continue to talk about. We had FUN!

   Absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!! First time rafting and it was genuinely such a great experience. The guides are friendly, fun and have a lot of experience not just of rafting but also local tikanga and Kawa for navigating the beautiful awa respectfully. As a Kiwi seeing the love and respect of iwi and our Maori culture really just rounded off the experience and made me feel proud to be from such an amazing country. We had the legend Jack as our captain and he was the best combo of safety and fun.The man is an absolute UNIT!!! Had every confidence in his skills the whole way and felt really safe and supported. The rest of the crew were also amazing and had some quality banter. Photographer did an amazing job and captured great moments to take away with us and the photo service is really affordable. Can't recommend this experience enough

   Had an amazing time here today, Ben, Captain Jack and Kyle were amazing ! My Fiancée and I really enjoyed the whole time from start to finish. Jack was extremely professional, making sure everyone understood the commands so we could maximise the fun. Absolutely recommend 100% ( tip, don’t open your mouth when in the front going into a roller unless you fancy rapid rehydration)

   Kaitiaki Adventure's Mt Tarawera Guided Walk, once in a life time experience. 360 degree showcasing this unique volcanic landscape, surrounding lake views, and in the distant up to Whakatane with Whale Island and White Island. We are lucky to get the once every few year snow coating. It does give it a bit more color texture. Guides are very helpful and patient. I am a bit scared of ridges and height and did get pretty panic when descending the steep downhill to the bottom of craters. Lucky got my hubby to hold and lead the way down and the girl guide always behind me encouraging and made sure I was okay. Will definitely recommend this tour.

   We had an awesome experience with Kaitiaki! We went on the Mt. Tarawera hike, which is exclusive to this company. We weren’t sure what to expect, but it ended up being a highlight of our time in Rotorua. The view was beautiful, and the most unique one we’ve had in New Zealand so far. And we got to walk into the crater! The guides did a great job giving historical background and watching out for everyone. If you are doing rafting or sledging with this company, add on Mt. Tarawera, too!

   Amazing experience. A grade 5 river experience with a great rafting guide, Stevie. We rode the rapids and waterfalls and were made to feel safe and reassured by the safety briefings and expertise of Stevie. The journey was all too brief as we wanted it to last longer, we were having so much fun. Great photo package too.
