If anything she doesn't have at store she always finds and orders in. Love supporting our local surf/skate/scooter store here in Papamoa and will always go to her. There is a good selection of fresh locally grown veges, baked bread from Volare in Hamilton, and the biggest selection of cheeses I've seen anywhere! The food and coffee is great. But what makes it really special is the staff member Albert remembers my name every time I go in - even though my name is quite unusual. Really appreciate the service here. “A friend recommened bites on birch. I called the friday before to order for 10 people for the following tuesday. Mandy was so helpful, she knew exactly how much to prepare and it was enough for all 10 of us, the little quiches were amazing! definately a winner the small pies and sausage rolls and carrot muffins all were so fresh and delicous, highly recommed bites on birch. All foods were perfectly placed in travel boxes it was so easy to just pick up. I was able to pick up before 0800am all the food was nice and hot and perfect temprature when we were ready to eat. Bites on birch has a amazing selection cant wait to try all the other foods available. thank you so much Mandy!”

“Staying in our motorhome we must say we were impressed. From the check ✅ in, with Kirsten, and the advice and help we received from the start. A beautiful Holiday Park with everything so clean and tidy. The playground too, is well thought out for childrens pleasure during their stay. Very handy to the beach and rolling surf, our two small dogs were in heaven when we all went down to the sand. It is fantastic that the dogs are allowed to be with us on holiday during the off season. The showers were nice and hot water aplenty. A friendly little bunny was not at all worried about two highly excited dogs because it sat just outside their wire fenced yard and teased them. In all a great place to stay and we will be back. When you walk in, the restaurant is split into a kebab shop portion and proper restaurant with double height ceiling with soft ambient lighting. Staff service was very polite, respectful and attentive. We ordered 9 dishes from chicken, to mussells to the vege platter. All of them tasted amazing! Our favourites were the: - Spanish mussells, the flavour of the sauce mixed well with bread. - Lamb cutlets, the Charcoal held well with the scent of the meat. Would recommend anyone to join, from couples wanting a nice dinner date to larger families, as ty have large numbers of seating. Cost is as per menu, not the cheapest in town, not fine dining; worth the price.”
