Great place to eat. I had the green lipped mussels in a light creamy curry sauce which was honestly delicious. Would 100% recommend and we would come back if passing through Matamata again

Great food, great service, nice atmosphere. A fraction more carbs is the only thing I would like, but I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this restaurant. Service and food were great. We had one each of the two lamb dishes on the menu. The serves of good were plentiful. The service was great. When we're back in Matamata we will visit again and suggest others to try too

Absolutely loved it! Had lunch here today β€” the Charcoal Lamb was outstanding. I’ve never had lamb this tender and juicy before! The chicken was equally flavorful and perfectly cooked. The sides were spot on β€” bright green broccolini, baby carrots, potatoes, and tomatoes β€” all grilled to perfection and full of flavor. Highly recommend this place for anyone who appreciates fresh ingredients and beautifully balanced flavors.

Came to Matamata with family, who are very picky eaters. When you walk in, the restaurant is split into a kebab shop portion and proper restaurant with double height ceiling with soft ambient lighting. Staff service was very polite, respectful and attentive. We ordered 9 dishes from chicken, to mussells to the vege platter. All of them tasted amazing! Our favourites were the: - Spanish mussells, the flavour of the sauce mixed well with bread. - Lamb cutlets, the Charcoal held well with the scent of the meat. Would recommend anyone to join, from couples wanting a nice dinner date to larger families, as ty have large numbers of seating. Cost is as per menu, not the cheapest in town, not fine dining; worth the price.

The service was incredible! We ordered at the till, and the gentleman who served us was impeccably polite. Our meals and coffees were promptly served. The mixed kebab I ordered was the best I have enjoyed for quite some time! The ingredients were fresh, even though I'd ordered a small it felt like a large once it arrived, and the service was excellent. I could taste the love and care that had gone into the preparation of my meal. The setting is warm, relaxed and friendly. Not overly 'in your face' so, but more of a gentle welcoming warmth. Perfect to enjoy a quiet meal.

Enjoyed a lovely meal here last night. Delicious food! Nice restaurant with plenty of room to move between tables, so not bumping into other diners when passing. Atmosphere is good but would suggest a play list without annoying ads between music. Needless to say we do like this restaurant. We'll be back to try other yummy dishes
