“Birdsong, natural beauty, an easy path, this is a fabulous walk. Perfect bike ride for 5 year olds. Dogs allowed, on leads. Surprises provided by creative maimai and artistic fairy houses. Picnic areas by the main car park and rest seats around the lake, allow us to soak in the views. Loved it.”

“We had a wonderful dining experience. The place seemed more like a bar at first, but the food truly amazed me. The focaccia was soft and airy, and the steak was juicy and fresh. Everything was full of flavor, and I especially loved the salad and the paper corn sauce! The manager kindly agreed to let us sit outside and even turned on the cool fire heater, although it did take a bit of time to warm up in the freezing winter! We loved the experience and will definitely come back to dine at this place again.”

“Great place do visit, wasn't expecting to find such a diverse and interesting place but a local mentioned it and I'm glad they did. If you have young kids they'd live it for the animals and there are very good coffees and food to be had in this complex. St Andrews Church also suits beautifully nestled into this stunning area. Well worth stopping.”

“We have had so much fun here over the years that Animal Ark has been open, my kids love it and it’s it’s been wonderful to bring them somewhere to meet animals outside of our very grumpy old cat. The animals are always in great condition and happily pottering along waiting for some snacks. Owners/staff are really friendly, always explain the rules really simply and clearly to the kids. We’ve made so many cool memories here and I’m really grateful for that.”

“You can visit the world's only mainland colony of Royal Albatross at the tip of the Otago Peninsula in Dunedin, New Zealand. Small guided tours to a glassed hide allows viewing of some of the nesting albatross. To protect the albatross from human disturbance, the headland is not publicly accessible. You can see adults in flight with their three metre wingspans as they glide around the headland. The centre is free to enter but tours are charged. Uneven terrain, lot of walking. Toilets available. Cafes available on site. Before the walkabout tour, you are given a demonstration/lecture about the birds and the work of the centre. Popular with tourists. Wear comfy shoes, take water, wear hat, sunscreen. Parking is easy. Amazing place to visit. Great place for photography.”

“Kilbirnie Park is a versatile and well-maintained green space in Wellington, perfect for both recreational activities and community events. The park boasts spacious fields that cater to a wide range of sports, including rugby, soccer, and cricket. These fields are regularly used by local clubs, schools, and casual players, making it a hub for sports enthusiasts of all ages. The park also includes an athletics track, which is ideal for runners and athletes looking to train. One of the standout features of Kilbirnie Park is its family-friendly environment. There’s a well-equipped playground that’s perfect for younger children, offering a safe and fun space for them to play. The park’s wide-open spaces also make it a great spot for picnics or leisurely walks. It’s dog-friendly, so many locals enjoy taking their pets for a stroll. The park’s location is very convenient, being close to Kilbirnie’s shopping area, bus routes, and other amenities. The nearby Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre is an added bonus for those looking to swim or relax after some outdoor activity. While the park is generally well-maintained, the fields can become a bit muddy during the rainy season. Overall, Kilbirnie Park is a fantastic community asset, offering something for everyone—whether you're there for sports, family time, or simply enjoying the outdoors.”

“The staff were so helpful and organized an upgrade that we weren't able to get online. Throughout our stay the service was outstanding from all the staff. They were all so lovely and professional. They made us feel so special. The hotel is beautiful with lovely decor. Our room was really nice with a lovely view out over the city. And of course there is the chocolate hour! A few tips. It is worth paying a little bit more to get a room with a view. Where the hotel is is a bit isolated with no shops or restaurants nearby. It is worth paying to have your car parked there. We enjoyed just staying and eating at the hotel and only left once during our stay. The only low point was the bathroom door. Because it slid outside the door opening, there were huge gaps so you could hear everything!”

“Very efficient. Medication is delivered promptly. Notifications of next delivery are sent well in advance as are reminders when prescriptions need refilling. Staff are very helpful if there are issues or queries and the fact they only charge for medicines which are not covered but no charge for prescriptions or postage is amazing. “My Grandaughter Hayley from MELBOURNE was due for her 30th birthday, what’s a fantastic family plan she thought? Here’s the action! I will go to NZ and take granddad, aunty and her granddaughters to a fabulous attraction BUTTERFLY CREEK near Auckland airport! WOW! an absolutely amazing choice, friendly staff, well maintained, safety precautions adhered to by all! We hit cafe first as you do! The coffee was first class as was the food displayed or made. Train ride got you oriented to the park surroundings. That is wonderful! We had paid extra for a Meerkat encounter, stars where Kia and Otse friendly and playful no hesitation to climb on you for the mealy worms you fed them! Our animal keepers Madie and Woo who where in enclosure with us where knowledgeable informative and very nice people. The butterfly, kiwi, aquarium, baby animals dinosaurs are absolutely amazing! They have birthday party rooms as well! My advice for a fabulous educational and happy outing for discerning families is to take a trip and visit BUTTERFLY CREEK in Auckland NZ Arthur C Charlton west Auckland NZ.”
