“Recently visited Ebisu with a group of friends to experience their Oki No Saturday Buffet. The selection was truly generous- fresh sashimi, sushi rolls, shrimp, udon and miso soup as well as hot dishes like salmon, braised beef brisket. And many delicious desserts. I have to say the sashimi was beautifully arranged and fresh. The service was friendly and attentive throughout. Our group wholeheartedly enjoyed the Oki No Saturday Buffet. I will recommend it without hesitation to anyone if you are looking for a relaxed Japanese buffet in Auckland.”
“We had amazing dinner here we did the à la carte menu. The sashimi was fantastic possibly one of the best in Auckland. If not New Zealand. The steak was amazing. The staff were really friendly and helpful and all around great restaurant. I haven’t been for awhile. It’s nice to see they haven’t dropped their standards.”
“The balance of flavor in chill chicken so number 1. I personally called and checked who baked our pizza and thank Chef Amaan for yummy chill chicken mild pizza.”
“Nice penne Arrabbiata. They don’t have wireless payment facility so bring cash or card, not just phone!”
“Nice work team Green Door. Decent sized slices served quickly. Tasty, no frills. Works well and good value. Easy option for kids.”
“We were lucky enough to walk in with no reservation and grab a table outside in the sun tonight for dinner. The food was all incredible, so fast and so yummy. All the staff were great, super friendly and helpful! Will definitely be back again ☺️”
“Sal’s Pizza in Mt Eden delivers a truly authentic New York-style pizza experience. From the moment you step in, you're greeted by the comforting aroma of freshly baked dough, sizzling pepperoni, and melted mozzarella. It’s the kind of smell that makes your stomach rumble and your expectations rise — and thankfully, Sal’s lives up to the hype. I ordered two classic slices: pepperoni and cheese. Both were exceptional. The pepperoni slice was perfectly crisp on the edges, with generous layers of spicy pepperoni that curled up slightly as they cooked, just like a real New York slice should. The cheese slice had a rich, gooey stretch and the tomato sauce underneath balanced it out with a slightly tangy bite. The crust was spot on — thin and foldable in the center with a nice chew, but still strong enough to hold the toppings without going soggy. The base had that beautiful light char underneath, giving it that authentic pizza oven flavor. What really blew me away though was the pepperoni wheel. It’s not just a gimmick — it’s a masterpiece. The dough is rolled around layers of pepperoni and cheese, then baked to golden perfection. Every bite gives you the perfect combination of soft, cheesy interior and a slightly crunchy outer layer. It's compact, flavorful, and ideal if you're after something handheld and satisfying.”
“Located in a basement, with a few large long tables. Lovely Thai food. Music is a little loud, but able to have conversations. Recommend Papaya salad, tom yum soup.”
“The beef and cheese burger is simple yet absolutely class, the chicken nibbles seem pricey but they’re pretty huge. Overall such good food. Only complaint would be the fries to sauce ratio - the aioli is actually amazing but just slightly not enough. Customer service is excellent - friendly people”
“The best little spot. Our favourite spot for the freshest fish, best selection and best value for money on sashimi. We always get a deluxe set each - and it’s consistently great each time. Kind workers and free miso soup too. Not a single complaint.”
“Called in here today for 2 piece's of sushi $4.40 & a miso $3. Thursday 9 October 2025.”
“We were served by Sarit, he was friendly and generous. The food came quickly and tasted good. My 4 year old loved the cheese pizza and watching football on the TV.”
“This place is really good! Crispy chips, tasty fresh pizza, nice staff and vibes. Better then pizza club but of a similar idea. I highly recommend. I will be back.”
“Super quick service. Delicious pizza with huge portion and toppings. Friendly and warm welcoming staff.”
“Great place to go if youre wanting a quick feed! Sal's signature fries are steal for how nice they are. Service is REALLY good. All the staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is quite cozy too!”
“Service was positive her name is Simran her hospitality and friendly service made me feel happy by her greetings and the positive service she provided. We are sorry to see her go as this is her last night. In future may we have positive and vibrant staff like Simran. Thank you lovely for being positive each time we come to pizza hut Papakura.”
“Chatpata paneer is bloody good. Soft spoken staff :) extremely glad there is a Indian flavour making pizza spot that’s actually very good. 1st Jun visit: Had tandoori paneer, had to bin it immediately after first bite. Absolutely didn’t feel d flavour. Extreme disappointment. 9th Aug visit : Opted for chatpata paneer again , ain’t trying any other for a while. It was so good. This was a free pizza considering my last unhappy visit few months ago. I got served a large pizza when I wanted only a small one. There is no way a large could be consumed fully by one person especially this one with the heavyness in it. I insisted I pay but Sameer’s brother( didn’t get his name, my bad) was more adamant in not letting me to. All he wanted was if I was happy with the pizza this time 22/01/25 : Had thin crust chatpata paneer :) loved it OMG.”
“Pizza always cooked to perfection and always consistent. Service is very straight to the point, however, I have noticed new staff working here who are much nicer to deal with than when the store first opened. This is always our go to branch kn the Hibiscus coast and I would highly recommend it.”
“We come here a lot with the kids and it’s always great. Friendly service, tasty meals, and large portions. Can’t go wrong here!”
“Coffee to die for and beautiful authentic seafood chowder deliciously thick and packed with real seafood. Big thanks to Nish and Liam.”
“Very good pizzas and very warm service.”
“Been here many times. Excellent pizza, and their hot chocolates are a spiritual experience - best in Wellington. Absolute must for anyone whether you're a local or from elsewhere!”
“Mediterranean Foods Wellington has the best pizza in Wellington, hands down. The linguine is absolutely to die for, and every visit has been matched with genuinely friendly, welcoming staff. The place has such a good vibe — warm, lively, and the kind of spot you can proudly bring friends or family who are visiting from out of town. A definite favourite and an easy 5 stars. Highly recommend!”
“Absolutely loved this restaurant! There was a 12$ special from 4 to 6PM the night we went. The service was exceptional and there was such a nice atmosphere. The pasta plate did not deceive and I would strongly recommend this restaurant.”
“The most beautiful kebab that I have in Wellington and Porirua area. They have choices of falafel, chicken, or lamb. You can also have it combine for extra dollar.”
“I have travelled the world. I have been to Europe and I have tasted my uncles home cooked pizza. I have been to Milan and I have been to France. I will say only one thing. The creamy pineapple pizza stands undefeated and very much unchallenged. Who else could try? Miss u crème fraiche”
“As a former NYer, this place nails it. About as far as you can get from NYC and the flavor is spot on. They put the slices back in the oven so the crust is nice and crispy. I would pull 1/4 point if I could for not having shakers of garlic powder or Jamaican beef parties on the menu.”
“Got dinner here with my wife our first night in Wellington, mostly because it was near the craft market we visited first. Food was good and well-worth the price, even had enough leftovers for another meal the following day since we had a fridge in our hotel. Not where I would go if I was looking for high-end authentic Japanese food but would absolutely go again and recommend for a quick bite, my wife liked the katsu enough that we've worked to find places with good katsu at home in Chicago. Seating was inside but open to a busy street, it wasn't problematic but is worth knowing depending on your mood.”
“Great pizza right on the beach. Genuinely the best pizza I've had in Wellington, the ingredients are super high quality and the staff are very friendly. Great place to visit if you like supporting small family businesses.”
“We tried the veg delight and pepperoni pizza - both were loaded with fresh toppings and melted cheese. Great taste, quick service, and very affordable.”
