“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation for Machete Coffee Shop. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing and inviting, making it a fantastic spot for everyone. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and I’m always impressed by their excellent service. Their menu offers a variety of meals that cater to all dietary requirements, and I love that they keep it fresh and seasonal with exciting new options. The design of the shop captures a lovely New York vibe that's unique to Wellington, making each visit a special experience. However, I must address a recent review that was posted under my name. Unfortunately, my account was hacked, and that review was entirely untrue. I sincerely apologize for any confusion it may have caused. Machete Coffee Shop is a place I truly admire, and I can assure you that my experiences there have been nothing but positive. Thank you for all that you do, and I look forward to my next visit!”

“After having a lot of woap burgers lately The Mac Daddy was still up there with the best of them! The awesome mac n cheese patty w Brisket and gravy drippn. The sweet Potato Fries were freakn delicious too”

“Everything was great!! The staff were nice, the pizza was delicious and cheesy. The sprites were big which was good. We also got lemon cheese cake and cookies & cream gelato which was delicious. The only negative was the waiter staff didn’t ask if we wanted 2nd drinks.”

“Absolutely loved our visit here! I was down from Palmy visiting my son and he took me here for lunch. We were acknowledged as soon as we walked in the door — such friendly, genuine service. The staff went above and beyond and made us feel right at home. A special shout out to Piney who served us. She was the most beautiful, friendly and bubbly young lady. A real credit to Caffiend Cafe. The food was delicious — fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully served. You can tell there’s real care behind everything they do. A real gem. Can’t wait to come back!”

“We spent the first night of our trip at The George (after much hassle with flight delays, which the team was extremely accommodating for!) was one of the most spectacular nights of our trip! The service was unmatched (Thank you Matt!) and George bear will be our travel companion forever! It was the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate after a long journey and breakfast the next morning was spectacular! My only complaint is that I couldn’t stay forever! I would come to Christchurch just to spend a night here again!”

“A very unique café with an internal garden that creates a small indoor sanctuary. There’s also a designer clothing store right next to it, adding to the charm. “We went out to a recommended restaurant for dinner, and the experience was wonderful. The waitress was exceptionally warm, gentle, and welcoming. The dishes take some time to be served since everything is prepared fresh, but it is absolutely worth the wait. For starters, we ordered: – Smoked Burrata with strawberries – beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. – Wild Mushroom Gyoza, served with sesame sauce, chili oil, and an Asian-style salad. An excellent dish, with perfectly steamed dumplings. For the main courses, which are the restaurant’s signature dishes: 1. Fish of the day – salmon, served tender, delicate, and absolutely delicious. 2. Braised Beef Cheek – slow-cooked with miso and sweet potato purée. The dishes were outstanding, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. There is both visual elegance and exceptional taste in every plate. Of course, we couldn’t leave without dessert. We ordered the pudding, which is their signature dessert, and it was excellent as well. We enjoyed the meal so much that we will definitely return to enjoy this wonderful food again, clearly prepared with great care and passion by the chef.”

“If I could give more than 5 stars I would! A few years ago I was pregnant,tired and incredibly hungry and all the restaurants were actually closing their doors, including vino. My poor husband ran up just as you were closing the doors and asked if you had anything spare he could buy for me quickly. Without hesitation you actually turned your ovens back on,chatted to my husband about life,and made me a double portion of pasta FREE of charge and said it was a gift for us and our first baby. “We had brunch on Waitangi Day (Thursday) and absolutely loved it. For the first time, I had a smoothie that was actually better than the ones I make at home—so thank you for that! We went back on Saturday, but this time, the smoothie had noticeably more spinach, which caused it to oxidize quicker. I don’t have a picture, so you’ll have to take my word for it—it was much darker in color and less sweet. That said, the breakfast quality was just as great as the first time.”
