Best shop manager I have come across (sorry if wrong but think his name was Tim?) Absolutely nothing is a problem. Only had one tool I have brought back, he replaced it and the new one has been flawless, and every time I step in the shop I get great service and he even replaced a 24 inch chainsaw bar for free. I say it every single time I leave, will see you guys again soon!”

“I recently had to replace a door handle unit that was 15 hyears old. Others I approached told me that they didn't stock it and that was as far as they would go. When I went to Placemakes, they did some researcxh for me and found that it was still being manufactured and could be ordered. TYnhey ordered it for me, it arrived in two working days, and it fitted perfectly. Polite and obliging staff. It will be my first port of call next time I am looking for hardware.”

“First time I have shopped at Placemakers and what a breath of fresh air compared to the utterly hopeless other large format building supply retailers in Porirua. The staff at Placemakers actually know what they are talking about, they are organized, helpful and offer customer service willingly - instead of trying to avoid customers which is what you get from staff at M10 and Bunnings. The drive through actually has room for vehicles - another improvement on the other two hopeless outfits. Placemakers is where I will be spending my DIY shopping in the future. Wish I had gone there years ago.”

“Great service, very friendly helpful guys, cheapest supplier around and I tried the 4 big brands. I brought too many bales of batts and they very happy to accept and refund me. I see in another review something about staff unwilling to move stacks around on a Saturday showed up about the same time on a Saturday on a long weekend and they quite happy to move stacks around (third stack in at the bottom so was a bit of work)”
