Staff need to be upkilled on store items. I call for standard building blocks and operator doesn't know what they are and I am told they need to be pre ordered so they can get them from firth. My staff end up going in and they had the blocks onsite

I am still in negotiations with store to purchase a kitchen. Wendy has been exceptional and has clearly listened to what I want. She has been readily accommodating and provided designs with alternative options in a short time frame when picking accessories, she again offered different suggestions without being pushy. I would recommend this store to anyway considering kitchen or laundry upgrades. When I received the final quote, it was less than expected with all the extras I had requested
It's my local. With Bunnings gone to Hastings and closing my account without notice. Several no stock, incorrect stock and lack of service in the trade department, I gave PlaceMakers another try. Staff have been very helpful and they have the wood I needed in stock. I've been back and will probably open an account their soon.
Do your homework and ring before you go... Had what I wanted in stock, so I ripped down there and spoke to the wonderful Wendy. Driving out with the goods 10min later.
I recently had to replace a door handle unit that was 15 hyears old. Others I approached told me that they didn't stock it and that was as far as they would go. When I went to Placemakes, they did some researcxh for me and found that it was still being manufactured and could be ordered. TYnhey ordered it for me, it arrived in two working days, and it fitted perfectly. Polite and obliging staff. It will be my first port of call next time I am looking for hardware.
