“Great coffee, great toasties, nice bike ride to quarry and back. Will be back. Well done team.”
“Nice and cozy atmosphere. Food to choose from their menu or cabinets. Good service as well.”
“Great place, with great service! My partner and I went into Dawes last week to get feed for our meal worms. Had a bit of a walk from the bus stop near Foremans Rd to Dawes itself, and would have had to get a taxi from Dawes back to our place in Beckenham. Thank you to Dawes awesome Operations Manager John Miller who offered to deliver the feed to our door for us at no extra cost! Thank you John for your amazing service, we will be back again. “Great food! Nice and fresh. Tender beef fillet. Loads of chicken in the chicken fried noodles. Great service, staff walked outside to hand our takeaways to us. Pictured is the beef fillet, satay chicken, chicken fried noodles, waffle fries, wontons and fried chicken. Fed 4-5 adults and 3 small kids under 5.”
“We went for lunch for my sister-in-law's birthday. My daughter and I ordered specific dishes(as she doesn't eat all things, like a lot of teens), and has to be careful of peanuts. She had chicken stirfy and I had a pork and noodle dish. The others ordered a variety of starters and main dishes to share. Everyone loved the food. So tasty, the flavours are fantastic and good portions, we managed to take left overs for my partner to try. Would definitely go back. Thank you for a wonderful meal.”
“Absolutely the best Mexican place in Christchurch. Have eaten here many many times and the quality has ALWAYS been outstanding. Great food, great owner. Could not recommend this place more!”
Souva Cucina Limited favours a grill‑focused mix with clear, clean flavours. A riverside backdrop rounds out the stop. Grill work shows a clean sear and rested meats. Value feels fair for the quality.

“One of the best coffees I have ever had... beautiful thank you.”
“I stumbled across this cozy little café while exploring Hamilton and it’s easily one of the best breakfast spots I’ve visited in New Zealand! The coffee was exceptional—smooth, rich, and perfectly brewed. I had their scrambled eggs with avocado & halloumi on sourdough and it was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with lots of natural light and a relaxed vibe. It’s clear they take pride in using local, high-quality ingredients, which is a big plus for me. If you’re looking for a great place to start your day, this is it! I can’t wait to return next time I’m in the area. Highly recommend!”
Hopnotic Brewery keeps things coffee‑and‑cabinet and focused on flavour. Outdoors works when the weather plays along. Wraps hold together with fresh salads and steady sauces. Service stays present without fuss.
“The Vegan Poke bowl at Pickle and Plum was one of the most delicious meals I’ve possibly ever had ! Could easily fill two people for lunch and had the most amazing flavours. Will definitely be going back for another. As an extra touch it would be lovely to have some vegan baked goods in the cabinet !”
“I've been coming here for years anytime we head through TA and have never been disappointed with the food or service! The loveliest family business.”
“The food was nice and the staff were friendly. I would definitely come here again.”
“Been here a few times with my fiance now, the place is so chill and the staff are friendly and chatty. Food is dynamite!!! And the bottomless brunch is such good value for money. My fiance and I combined had 4x pints of lager, a beef nachos, tacos, chicken bites & jalapeño poppers... All for under $100 Leaving with a very full tummy and happy with our chill night every time!”
“Found this place tucked away in city center. We had one of the best lunches during this trip. With a 100 % GF Menu, the place is testament of how to do great food regardless of dietary requirements.”

“Awesome coffee, wonderful team.”
“Without a shadow of a doubt, my all time favourite grog store - and believe me, I've definitely been in some enticing alcohol related retail situatiuons over the years.. Best staff you could wish for. Personally, I've always been impressed with how the main players can both ease you through the checkout phase with that masterful, ritual-style phrasing... Or match your enthusiasm for the moment with sharp banter that's likely of higher quality than what will be present at the event you are heading to directly after.. As a long-time patron, I tip my hat to this Kingsland institution of excellence. Five well-earned stars, and I put that on google reviews homie.........”
“Nice unassuming cafe in the middle of Manurewa. Friendly staff, coffee was good, had eggs bene which was good. Tidy and a good feel. Counter food and standard menu items available. Playing the Breeze which is nice soft background music. Overall they've got it right in my opinion. Would recommend, and happily return”
“Love coming here to grab fruit and veges! So much cheaper and usually better quality than supermarket. We lived off the strawberries and blueberries during summer! They also sell sourdough bread which is a little pricey but very worth the price! We get it as a treat!”
“The cocktails here are superb. The staff are brilliant, friendly and knowledgeable. Its got a great vibe. Ill definitely be back here”
“I went with my partner, and we ordered Chicken Karaage and Chicken Nanban Don. The chicken was juicy and crispy. The portion size is generous for the price. It’s brilliant to find a place like this, as it’s quite rare in the CBD. If you’re looking for a spot with great food, this is definitely a place to visit. I’d recommend it and will certainly return. Oh, and they also include miso soup!”
“The salmon sushi was so fresh tasting. It was nicer than some expensive sashimi I've had at some other places. I ate it all so quickly and went back for more pieces... Very affordable, tasty and extremely friendly staff. Thank you!”
“Amazing menu all round, vegetarian options are all delicious, tasty tofu, awesome kakiage, spring rolls, dumplings & nigiri very satisfying”
“My regular go-to sushi place, always so fresh and not badly priced.”
