   Great little sushi place my husband eats here all the time , my first time trying tho was unfortunate… order the teriyaki donburi impressive portion for price but sadly completely bland no teriyaki at all just tasted and looked like boiled chicken on rice, I assumed as this is my go to at any sushi spot it would be like everywhere else a nice thick coating of teriyaki sadly I was mistaken . Might be a personal preference as it’s not what I’m used to getting , but was disappointed.

   This is now the main sushi place in Birkenhead shopping centre since the great little place in the mall closed. It's OK. The selection is excellent with a good range of options. Size and price are good, too. So, if you're hungry and just want to grab something healthy for lunch, it's fine. The sushi is very loosely wrapped and roughly cut. There are a couple of tables where you could sit and eat in the midst of customers coming and going but this is primarily a place relying on large numbers of people in and out, not a restaurant. If you're in a great hurry, be aware that there's a surcharge for paywave. (Which is perfectly fair for a small business with many small transactions and facing the associated bank charges)

   We visit here regularly, the owners are very friendly and accommodating, always willing to make up orders for you on the spot if they have run out. A great array of sushi and other options, freshly made and tasty. Great chicken katsu, crumbed prawns, sushi and the miso soup is always top draw. The owner is happy to make up small sized sushi for the kids and often adds a little treat for them which they enjoy. Very well priced too.
