Loved heading there today on a drizzly day following a three day tramp at Island Hills Station. Great variety of pools of different temperatures, and although extremely busy, there was plenty of space for everyone. Pretty expensive entry prices, so have to go for a whole day if taking the family. Discounted entry price for AA members.

They have different hot pools for adults and children . They are few adults only pool with temp ranging from 36-40 degrees. Overall a must visit place if you are in hanmer spring. Fantastic place, clean neat and tidy. The hot tubs were great and were very relaxing. Plenty of lifeguards and everyone was very well behaved. Talking to locals, going just before school holidays like we did is the best time and through the week, not weekends so much to reduce getting larger crowds. School holidays are are quite busy.

Far superior to the Polynesian Spa in Rotorua, this is a far more refined and relaxed experience. The setting is superb, surrounded by mountains and tall trees, and the range of pools is excellent. The thoughtful layout separates the family area with slides from the quieter pools, allowing everyone to enjoy themselves without conflict. I spent four hours here reading and relaxing in warm water and sunshine after driving 2,500 miles around South Island, and it was wonderfully restorative. Everything is high quality, good value, and the rental options for swimwear, towels, and lockers are very reasonably priced.

My first trip back in about 10-12 yearsβ¦slides have been refreshed but generally the same. While a bit on the chilli side the lines were short and the kids had a great time. The smaller hot thermal pools were were fairly dirty both days we went which brought the star down. Hard to fully relax with a bunch of debris floating around you Brisket pizza in the eatery was delicious and fairly priced.

Amazing variety pools with 40 to 15 people per medium and smaller sized pools respectively. Hydro slides for the kids, convenient locker and towel hire. With snow on the mountains behind the pools it is a breath-taking backdrop while you have a soak. This is a must do attraction especially after a day of skiing on the slopes.

Hot spa! Very fun slides and hot water! Two slides are down (2023) but hopefully there will be four soon. Lockers are $8 for the day. Well staffed with attentive life guards. It is an amazing place and a lot of fun, especially for the kids.

Very, very well maintained. Even during rainy days there's no spliery surface. The pools are crystal clear and very clean. The landscaping is amazing. The slides are fun. There are some drinking water fountains. The changing room in the unisex toilets come with shower, shampoo, conditioner, soap and body lotion! The current pool even comes with some floats. Plenty of lifeguards, making sure that everyone is safe. The front counter ladies are friendly. Easily spend at least 1 hour here, ideally 2 hours and even multiple entry. There are lockers for hire but they also have pigeon holes where people can put their belongings at their own risk, no charges. The cafe looks warm and spacious. This place is suitable for all ages and very wheelchair friendly, but there are some advisory for pregnant womens not to use super hot/ sulfur pools. The prices are reasonable, you can book tickets from Bookme website for a better price.

Great place to visit and relax in the hot pools. 23 hot pools ranging from 36Β° to 42Β° in temperature. Everything has been updated since I was there a few years ago and the whole place looks great, very clean, lovely gardens and some hot pools even have shade umbrellas. There are change rooms and a cafe onsite too. People over 60 can enter the pools at a discounted price. Well worth a visit.

A great time at the thermal pools, plenty of room for everyone and lots of choices for temp and depth. Loved the slides, from fast to faster but all very safe. Cafe on site and you can hire lockers. Plenty of staff on site to assist if needed.
