“Loved this club from a young age. Great atmosphere at the after matches and the premier rugby team is doing good to. It has cricket and netball teams as well as rugby for all ages. Big spacious club rooms that can be hired out for functions”

“Small entry fee for a clean and pleasant water temp. Kids loved it to bits during the school holidays. Bombs are allowed in the designated lane.”

“Pools are nice i wish the lane pool was warmer like i would be happier if it was like 28C or 29C also it would be good if they would add a bulk head in the main pool as its 33M and i prefer 50M and 25M Pools would love to see it become an indoor pool sometime in the future”

“Had fun at the tiny tots session today. The swim instructors that float around are really playful with your little ones and give some great advice. I will also mention that there are lockers available to use, you need a $2 coin to use them, you’re unable to get money out at reception so make sure you have it before you go if you want to use one.”

The manager went above and beyond – offering the kind of genuine, old-fashioned service that’s so rare these days. It was such a refreshing change! “Kia ora. I went to Awa Ink through the recommendation of a friend and work colleague. I was born in Melbourne, Australia, and have lived full time in New Zealand since 1997. I have a number of old skool type tattoos which I had done during the late 1980s and early 1990s. The only tattoo that meant anything to me is my daughter's name on a ribbon and love heart type design. I really wanted something new that tells my story and truly means something to me. Tawhiri absolutely exceeded my expectations with a beautiful Tā moko telling my story along with my daughter's name and the name of my mokopuna. I requested the Southern Cross be included as I was born under this constellation and is featured on the Australian flag where I was born and the New Zealand flag where I have lived for close to 30 years. I also have a connection to Samoa through a very close friend which also features the Southern Cross on its flag. My overall experience with Tawhiri at Awa Ink absolutely exceeded my expectations.
